Nick's POV

"Hey Jen!" I say as she walks into the room.

Even in a t-shirt and shorts she looks great. She always looks great.

Don't get your hopes up Nick.

"Hey Nick!"

She sits down right next to me and leans into me. I drop my arm from the edge of the couch to her shoulder.

"So, how's my favorite baseball star?" She asks looking up at me.

"I'm doing well."

"How's the team been doing?"

"We've won both of our scrimmages, and we look pretty good."

"Are you the best on the team?"

"Well-"

"Hell yeah he's the best on the team." Daniel says interrupting us.

"Danny-"

"He got voted captain unanimously."

"Really?" Jen asks.

"He's been first baseman since freshman year."

"Damn." Jen says winking at me.

"And he has the best batting average on the team."

"I didn't know you were that good." She says laughing.

"You should come to our first game, it's home next Tuesday." Danny adds.

"I'll sit in the front row." She says smiling at me.

Okay, Danny has to be the best wingman EVER.

"Alright let's go!" Tiffany says.

"Give us like 5 minutes, we gotta finish this game." Jason says.

Leave it to Jason and Tyler to be playing COD when we need to leave.

"I'm gonna go grab my phone." I say standing up.

"I'll come with you." Jen says grabbing my hand as we walk upstairs.

"Your room is so nice." Jen says looking at the photos on my desk.

"Thanks."

She sits down on my bed and lies back.

"You have so many trophies!" She says standing up again and looking at all of them.

"I've played on a lot of teams."

"A mini basketball hoop?" She asks amused.

"I got it when I was 9."

"I'm sure." She laughs.

"Where's the ball?"

"Uh..."

She walks over to me and looks up at me. She reaches behind me and grabs the ball, making sure to tease me.

I sigh in annoyance, but lean against my wall. Biting my tongue as I watch her miss her shot.

"You have a terrible shot."

"Sorry. Are you also a basketball star?"

"I can be."

I walk up behind her and my hands make their way around her waist. I rest my head on her shoulder and leave small kisses. Her breathing is unsteady as she lifts the ball up to shoot again.

"You missed."

"I know."

She spins around and our lips crash. She runs her hands through my hair and then wrap around my neck. I push her back against the wall and hold her hands above her head. She tilts her head back and I go right for her neck, earning small moans.
