Lets party?

I opened the door to my house and waved goodbye to Jack. I then proceeded to yell "I'm Home." Into the vicinity of the front hall, in the hope that I was the first one home, but sadly no.
"How was your first day back darling." Enquired my nosey mother, Kim Rogers.
My mother was definitely very involved in her children's lives. She always tried to be the coolest mum around and would say stupid things like "that is what's hip nowadays" and "hey gang, what's the gossip?" I loved her to pieces but she was probably the biggest failure of a 'cool' mum there has ever been.
"Amber stole and ate half of my sandwiches. Mr Ross still hates me. Oh and now I sit beside Dan Carter. So eventful to say the least." I groaned.
"Oh Daniel Carter, I remember that boy. He was lovely, never thought he would turn out to be so silly. Although he is very good looking, Becky, and his family are very wealthy, maybe he's worth a second shot?"
"I really hope that is a joke mother." I choked exasperatedly.
"Of course it is you dimwit. If you ever so much as talk to that pig again your grounded... For life!"
Also my mother is very dramatic and tends to bend things out of proportion.
"I know, I know. I will never see the light of day again, etc etc." I laughed at her.

After I escaped the clutches of conversation with my mother, I snatched a Diet Coke from the fridge and a packet of crisps from the "sweetie drawer" and disappeared up into my room to start my school work. I was so far behind everyone else in my classes, it was completely unfair! I sometimes wished I had never gone away, it was such a hassle. I hadn't even had science yet and I was already neck deep in catch up work. I started maths first, Miss Hastings would kill me if I wasn't caught up for her class on Wednesday. Fabulous. Three months worth of maths in two night, I'm going to have a heart attack.
I brought out the brick that was my maths textbook and started reading through the notes Miss Hastings had given me. Three hours later I was only on the fifth topic out of twenty. Then I did the inevitable and gave up. I checked my phone to find that I had three notifications from Amber who had sent me pictures of her and her McDonald's chicken nuggets that she got for dinner, followed by a text stating that she doesn't need people so long as she has food. What did I do to deserve such a lovely, caring, classy best friend?

"Becky dear, tea is ready." I heard my dad call up the stairs.
'Finally!' I thought, I was starving, procrastinating really takes it out of you.
I skipped down the stairs to the dining room where my little sister, Lindsay, was already sitting.
Lindsay was like the Natalie of the school year below me. She had an amazing figure, beautiful brown curls and brilliant blue eyes. Not to mention she was the biggest flirt I knew. She was giggling at her phone which made me think she was talking to a boy and when I checked over her shoulder I was completely correct.
"So how's Dylan?" I whispered to her.
"He's from Manchester. He wanted to meet up this weekend but I don't think he's good looking enough, I'm just going to keep trying for Connor."
Connor was Dan's best friend, just as good looking as Dan and had amazing hair; but was very socially awkward. I knew him quite well from when Dan and I were together but now he's too awkward to even return a smile. Lindsay had taken a liking to Connor when we moved back and was completely set on making him hers, although I'm not sure how that will work out for her. She had asked me endless amounts of times for help with him but I knew I wouldn't be any use to her what so ever. So I didn't even bother trying.
"Right girls set the table, dinner will be ready in a couple of minutes" called my dad from the kitchen.
Lindsay hated any form of work and always disappeared to the bathroom when we were given jobs. So I set the table by myself. Unfortunately for her everyone forgot to tell her when the table was set and we all started eating without her, I mean it was her own fault for being so lazy and it definitely wasn't my responsibility.
"So petal, how is Amber? She must be thrilled that you are back in school!" My Dad asked politely.
"Oh honey you should have heard the story! It was the funniest thing!" Interrupted my mother. "She stole Becky dear's sandwiches and ate them! Also she still on that pink lemonade stuff she always has! I feel so sorry for her mother, especially seeing as she is a dentist! She must completely despair at that girl! Such a funny one Amber! You should have her over this weekend Becky. You can sleep in your new double bed! That would be lovely! And bring over all your friends from school too! Have a party!!! Oh my word yes! It's a plan, your dad and I will go out, your sister can stay at a friends house and you can have the house for the night! BRILLIANT!"
My dad looked horrified, although I was already planning the party in my head.
"Don't worry dad, I'll be sensible. I don't have too many friends." I assured my very pale father.
"Okay petal, just please don't wreck the house"
"With Netflix and pizza? How do you expect me to do that?" I tried sound as innocent as a could, and I think it worked as there was colour slowly returning to my dads face.

"Oh my word!! You are the worst family ever, you started eating without me?! I hate you guys! I'm going to run away some day!" Lindsay screamed in her usual melodramatic tone, I guess she got that from my mother.
