Chapter 1

My arms flung around Luke's neck. Anyone would think we were a couple, but no. Just friends. Or at least we hoped so. Everyone knew Luke liked me, I was just too blind to notice. That's the thing i regretted most. Not seeing. I was being forced away to California, never coming back to Cornwall. 

You see, my mother and father had split up, and my mother wanted to be out of this country, away from him. I was being pushed to leave behind my best friends and my boyfriend, Jake. Speaking of Jake; Where was he? He was meant to be here helping me with my luggage.... He was ten minutes late and my flight left in 5 minutes. I never let go of Luke once.

"I'm going to miss you so much" He cried, pushing me back to get a good view of my face. He smiled sadly. "No Californian boys ok? Your mine" He smirked. He laced one hand through mine then used the other to pick up my luggage.

"Ok, No Californian boys" I promised, squeezing his hand. I took the rest of my suitcases and bags as the plane landed. My mother watched me say goodbye to Lily, Mia, Amy and Luke. Jake was still no where to be seen. A tear rolled down my face, i was going to have to leave without saying goodbye. I hugged my friends one last time before my mother called out my name. "Luna, time to go"

The tears started flowing heavily now. "I love you guys, you know that right?" I cried out as my mother dragged me away. Luke sprinted up to me.

"One more thing" He whispered. He kissed me full on the lips. "I have been waiting to do that for ever" He said. I smiled sadly and walked off on to the plane.

It was the last time I was going to see him.

I thought.
