"James! Sirius! Look!" Ariana yelled. The two boys looked up from their homework at once, and joined the girl at the window.

"It's only snow Ariana." Sirius told her with a laugh, she sighed.

"But it's so pretty!" She exclaimed.

"You've seen snow before, why are you so amazed?" James asked. She shrugged.

"I love it! It's so mystical!" She explained, clapping her hands together in excitement.

"Then I do believe a snowball fight is in order." James decided. Ariana just stared at him.

"A what?" She seemed surprised that the words snow and fight could be used together in a sentence.

Remus walked into the common room after doing his 'prefect stuff' at least that's what his friends called it. He was confused to find that none of his friends were there. He could hear shouts and screams coming from the Quidditch pitch. He looked out of the window to find the source of the noise. His friends were in the midst of a huge snowball fight. It was Peter and Ariana against James and Sirius. And Ariana and Peter were winning. Remus smiled as he knew what the other two's reaction would be when they lost. He wanted to be there when they lost, it was a rare and glorious occurrence after all.

He walked onto the Quidditch pitch, only to find Ariana and Peter hiding behind a wall of snow.
"Shall we make a tactical retreat?" She asked Peter. Remus managed to join them without them noticing.

"You could, but you're winning." He told them. They jumped, both screaming quietly.

"Remus! You scared us!" Ariana said, she laughed and passed him a perfectly made snowball, he frowned and put it down beside him.

"Yep." Peter squeaked in agreement. "We thought you were the others.

"Sorry, but what are you doing?" He asked, laughing at the way they ever so often looked behind the wall to see what was there.

"They declared war on us." Peter told him.

"Wherever they gone?" The three heard Sirius ask. Ariana made a snowball, looked out of the side of the wall and threw it at James.

"They're still there." James confirmed.

"Peter, I need you to go and distract them." Ariana said. Peter nodded and transformed into a rat. He ran off, leaving Remus and Ariana alone.

"What are you planning?" He asked her. She grinned.

"We're going to win this." She told him decidedly. He nodded, amused by how competitive she was.

"Good luck with that." He started to get up, but she pulled him back down.

"You're going to help." She told him, he sighed but accepted his fate, taking a snowball in either hand.

They heard the others shout as Peter distracted them.
"C'mon." Ariana beckoned Remus to follow her as she ran through the snow, towards James and Sirius' pile of snowballs. With the help of Remus, she threw them at the two boys.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking Pads?" James asked Sirius.

"Ariana needs to pay." Sirius said with a nod and a smirk, Ariana's eyes widened.

"Well I am in a predicament now." She said to Remus, before starting to run. James and Sirius ran after her. Remus and Peter (who had turned back into a human) could hear her screaming 'please don't kill me!' as she ran. The boys laughing as they chased her.

Ariana was pegging it down the corridor passed Dumbledore's office, when the man himself stopped her.
"Ariana, may I talk to you?" He asked her. She nodded and followed him into his office, leaving James and Sirius wondering where she went.

"Ariana, I received word that the... people who imprisoned you for all those years, are looking for you." Professor Dumbledore told her. The young girl froze.

"W-what?" She asked, fear flooding her features and she looked like she could burst into tears at any moment. She had to use every ounce of her willpower to stop herself from getting out of her seat and running as fast as she could.

"However, I can assure you that no harm will come to you. I owe you that much." He told her. She stared at him and frowned.

"What?" She asked.

Dumbledore's eyes widened slightly as he realised what he had said.
"You've had a hard time, you deserve to be safe." He told her. She nodded.

"T-thanks." The fear was slowly ebbing away from her features.

"Now go and enjoy your weekend. No one can harm you here." He seemed unconvinced by his own words, but she trusted in what he said and took what he said to be true.

She nodded and soon rejoined her friends, not letting them even see a hint of her fear. In fact they were given a beaming smile and no mention of the fact that she was being hunted.
