PART 1

Clary POV

"Jace." I screamed , again no answer. the institute had such a negative vibe now everything felt so empty and cold. I wandered down the hall of the institute when a noise that was like a horrific screech stopped me in my tracks. "Jace ?" I pressed my body against the wall that was to the left of the weapons room. A puddle of blood was swelling on the timber floorboards. I saw Jace lying in the weaponsroom.

Jace POV

"Clary!" I screamed. "the library go!" Clary stumbled out the door. "Take a blade with you" I laid my head back . Just a second ago a demon lunged at me i had no weapon and it managed to spray that yellow sickening poisonous ooze on me . Almost suddenly a sharp pain cramped in my right ribs. I closed my eyes and cringed.I knew this could be my last breathe all I thought was Clary I can't leave her here alone but I guess I don't have choice .I envisioned Clary's Fiery red hair blowing in the wind her beauty,her face was the thing I would miss more than anything. I love you Clary .

Clary POV

I pulled a majestic looking blade out of a leather restraining belt.Its silver tip glistened in the dim lit room.The library was still the same elegant hand crafted room full of shelves of books.Besides the fact that a ghastly distorted glob was in go position. I raised the blade and the demon leapt, it's a Ravener I know it is.My blade swiped a section of veiny glob off the Ravener but it just crawled slowly back to its body and reunited.The demon became even more angered and took another leap this time spraying missiles of poison at me.One splattered on my right sleeve.It blemished through it. I seized my blade and was blinded by the light pouring like beams through the transparent window glass.I flashed back to the day when Simon saved us from that demon at Dorothea's the way he reflected the sun from the skylight and burnt it to ash.I guided my blade on an angle where the sun was pointing.The tip shone, it was so bright that I couldn't tell what the object was just an illusion of light.A beam reflected of my blade soaring out onto the Ravener. It cringed then went to a seizure like rhythm.Pulses back and forth.It immediately crumbled out of thin air.Embers of ash fell on the ground until the Ravener just disappeared. I ran back to the weapons room. Jace lay dead still on the floor not even twitching.He's golden hair stringy like yarn spread out around his head.He's once golden eyes were grey like an overcast day.He's gone I sulked he's gone.
