Chapter 31

~Niall's POV~

River was finally better, which had me smiling. She was dancing around the kitchen to Jessie J's song 'Domino' as she cooked. Rylan was trying her best to mimic River and she giggled as she did.

"Mommy dance good," Rylan claps.

River blushed, giggling gently. Rylan pulls me over to her and gently shoves me towards River.

She began dancing to Bang, Bang. River started laughing again and danced to the song, singing her friend Ariana's part. I start dancing with them and manage to do my friend Nicki's part.

Soon Malik and Tony were dancing with us. They smiled and laughed, Malik clinging to my right leg and Tony to my left leg.

I shake my head and smile at them. They seemed to be happier now that I wasn't with the boys. I had quit the band to spend more time with my family, then I got a job at Rylan's elementary school as the music teacher.

"We perfect," Rylan asks me.

"Yes," I say, picking her up and kissing her nose.

She giggled and cuddled. River leaned against the counter behind her and smiled at me.

"I got a River for a soul," River sang softly, laughing too.

"No body can drag me down," I sang back to River.

"I got fire for a heart," Malik pipes up.

Soon our little family broke into singing Drag Me Down, and the kids smiled and sang.

"I got fire for a heart. I'm not scared of the dark. You've never seen it look so easy. I got a river for a soul and baby you're a boat. Baby you're my only reason," I softly sing in River's left ear.

She blushed softly, picking up Malik and walking over to me. I pulled River into a hug, then I kissed her as the kids kissed our cheeks.

No body can drag me down.

Who ever said Love Ain't Easy was right. It's not easy. It's a roller coaster of emotions with the one you love. And my love is my family.
