It was by the second generation that the gods decided they needed somewhere physical to live. At the present time the gods all existed outside time and space, they were simply; there. The god Kazimir wanted to create a land where they made creatures in the image of them and made them fight for entertainment. The idea was quickly caught up by the goddess Saiz who thought it would be wonderful to have creatures like them. But, to Kazimir's despair, she hated the idea of making them fight just to entertain the gods.
Most of the other gods agreed, and since they'd become a democracy several decades ago, Kazimir had no choice but to agree. with their combined power, the gods created Haven with creatures just like them. They divided them all up into kingdoms. Each god fought over which kingdom would be their special one.
Saiz, the goddess of intelligence, chose Sunhaven. Fero, goddess of the moon naturally chose Moonhaven. Elena, goddess of creativity chose Nighthaven. Jurian, the god of luck, chose skyhaven. At that time, Starhaven didn't exist, which meant Kazimir wouldn't get his own kingdom.
Kazimir was very angry by the outcome. On one night, he disguised himself and crept into Nighthaven. With his magic, Kazimir became the king's advisor. Elena was away at an important meeting with some other deities, and wouldn't know what was happening until weeks after.
Kazimir convinced the king that they should make a colosseum and capture havians from other kingdoms and make them fight. The other gods began to notice some of their people vanishing when they went out of the castle. Saiz tracked some slavedrivers and discovered that Nighthaven was the culprit.
She called an emergency meeting and they all agreed to banish Elena for such actions. Once Elena was cast into the abyss, Kazimir voted that he should take over Nighthaven because he'd be able to calm them down.
The capturing seemed to die down but occasionally people vanished and were untraced. Kazimir became the god of Nighthaven and enjoyed the battles he watched monthly.
Elena was forever outcast into the abyss because not of the gods were able to prove it was actually Kazimir who told the Nighthavians to break the rules. Saiz constantly visited Elena, bring news of Haven, but all the while, Elena was angry at her fate and innocence.
Most of the Nighthavians forgot who Elena was, and without sacrifices, her power faded. Stuck in the abyss, Elena began meeting other forgotten gods who were not even recorded in books. She talked with them, learning of their own banishments.
In time, when the first havians died naturally they came to the abyss. Elena took care of them and watched over their souls. The other gods were sorry for what they did but still didn't know it was Kazimir. Saiz brought the main counsel to the abyss with an apology. Elena told them it was too late now, for once someone was sent to the abyss by the intentions of others they couldn't come back.
So, Saiz shared her idea to make Elena the goddess of death because she was so caring. The other gods agreed, except for Kazimir, who argued she would get more power than the other gods because, in time, the dead would out number the living. He also secretly didn't want Elena with power because she could easily find out it was him who caused all this to happen. He decided to talk to Elena.
He told her that she shouldn't of started the kidnapping and scolded her for doing so. Elena saw right threw his cover and before long, Kazimir was begging for his life. He told her it was all a game and he didn't want Elena to be banished. But this was a lie also. Elena ignored all his moaning and said that she wouldn't tell the other gods on one condition.
Kazimir slowly agreed and asked her what the condition was. She said that he must send the king to the abyss and change the ruling system. It wouldn't run through blood like all of the other kingdoms, but the champion of the monthly tournament would become the next ruler, male or female, it didn't matter. Kazimir would have to send all of the king's family to her except for the women and children, who would be sent to other kingdoms.
Kazimir refused at first but soon realised he had no choice. To his relief, the next tournament victor wanted the colosseum to continue and for about fifty years, Kazimir lived in peace. But suddenly, when the king died, the next victor was a woman, who banished the tournament. Kazimir tried his best to smite her from the throne but it seemed Elena was protected her.
After that, all the kings and queens kept the tournament banished and Kazimir was forced to make the colosseum secret. Elena had used her plan well. She continued to bless the leader who were fair and watched over the families of the outcast princess and heirs.
To this day, Kazimir is still trying to figure out a way to destroy Elena and break the deal. But may we pray that this wont ever happen.
