Chapter 11 - Loyalty

After the revelation from last night's failed mission, the four team mates went to sleep, Taking turns being look out. Soon the morning came, and the report from Kalila about Mia, was due. They waited for their arrival, sitting around a table eating breakfast.

"So, Fia how did little Mia react?" Lani asked finishing her plate.

"She was confused, when Kalila showed her the animals I thought she was going to cry." Fia says sipping her tea.

"Aw, those poor babies always pull at the heart strings." Enya says looking out the window. "Nandin, I have completely forgot. What did you find out about this Moss?"

"All I could find is that the boy is an orphan. He was taken in by a member of the Guard name not stated, he was found in an abandon building with the one called Ashe, while they were looking for 'traitors' to the Kingdoms." Nandin reported. "I could find nothing else about his childhood or Ashe's. I am sorry captain."

"Don't worry about it." Enya sighs. "I am sure you did everything you could." She got up and went outside, leaving Nandin looking worried.

"Nandin, don't worry about her." Lani says patting his hand. "This mess has just stirred up some bad memories." Just then Kalila walks in, followed by Mia. "Enya! Kalila is here, and she brought a little bird."

"Kalila, why did you bring the child?" Fia says getting up and standing in front of Lani protectively.

"She wants to join our cause. I thought the Captains would like to talk to her." Kalila replies. "We were not followed." Enya walked back in and went up to Mia.

"So Little Bird, why do you want to join a bunch of traitors?" She smirks at the girl who hid behind Kalila.

"Kalila said you guys wanted to save the Earth." Mia responds timidly. "I want to help, whatever means necessary." The sisters started laughing.

"Careful Little Bird, we might just make you do something horrible." Lani teases, stepping out from behind Fia. "Well now that I think about it, we should put you through a little test." She ponders.

"Good idea sis, Fia please go retrieve the rest. We need ideas." Enya commands, Fia leaves. "Now then, have you eaten yet?" She passes the two ladies a bowl of fruit. "Go ahead, they are not poisoned." Enya smiles sweetly.

Mia grabs a piece of fruit, but only after Kalila did so. When they did she waved them over to the table and they sat down.

"So, Mia." Lani smiles at the girl. "What has Kalila told you?"

"That you guys want to save the Earth. I saw the visions, I want to help revive the beauty that was once this amazing place." Mia sighs, looking as though she had stars in her eyes. "The Master Quad have destroyed this planet, and it has been getting worse."

"Worse?" Enya looks intrigued. "What do you mean?"

"There is a plan." Mia says. "They have found something, something bad." Just then the door flew open and Riac came storming in.

"Why is she here?" He all but shouts. "She is with the guard!"

"Calm down Riac!" Lani slapped him. "Now breath." She says. "She is our guest, and wants to join the Advance." She says to the rest of the group who had finally arrived. "Have a seat everyone, we have much to discuss."

After everyone had settled down and were sitting around the room. Arrio sat beside Corin and George on a couch by the window, while Riac sat in between Rai and Lani to keep him calm on a different couch across from the others. Enya was still at the table with Mia, and Nandin, the only one not sitting was Fia who stood by the couch where her 'mistress' sat.
