Secrets are Lies, Sister

Persuaded

He stared into her eyes and she felt like he was looking into her soul. He brushed her hair out of her face as he scooched closer. She didn't know what to do. This was her sister's boyfriend after all.

"What are you doing?", she asked timidly.

"C'mon Brynn. You know Avery's been mad at me for weeks. She's going to break up with me sooner or later.", he said with confidence.

She looked away, not knowing how to respond. But he gently grabbed her chin and pulled it close to his own. He slowly leaned in and Brynn felt his smooth lips upon her. She had to admit it made her feel good. It made her feel wanted. She wasn't the smart ass girl in class right now. She wasn't Avery's obscure twin sister. Brynn was happy.

But she started thinking. She realized what she doing. She pulled away quickly. "No."

"What?"

"I shouldn't be doing this. You're still dating Avery."

"We're going to break up soon. I promise. I-"

"But this still isn't right. You're still in a relationship right now and even if you break up, Avery will be heartbroken. I can't do this to her. I can't even believe what I just did."

"She won't know unless you tell her."

"What?"

"About the kiss. Avery won't know anything unless you or I tell her. And I certainly would not say anything."

He had a point. Avery would never have to know. This would just be another one of her secrets.
