(Garnet's POV)
Garnet sat on the sandy shore of the secluded beach she and the rest of the Gems lived on, blocking out humanity with a wired fenced and a sign that read DO NOT ENTER. She sat, gazing at the sun, waiting for something. A soft, warm breeze blew by. The waves crazed against the beach. Nothing happened-
BOOM! As if expecting such a start, Garnet sprang up and jumped into the air. A giant snake, black and with crystal-like fangs emerged from the sand, hissing and spitting. It was ginormous, at least 150 feet in size, and it was mad too. It hissed and spit, writhed and curled, and eyed the Temple. Pupils going from large, vertical lines to thing, narrow slits, it's fangs sprang down and it curled up to strike-
BOOM! POOF! Garnet came crashing down on the snake's head with her scarlet gauntlets, punching it straight on the head with the force of a small missile. Landing through the smoke of the poofed Corrupted Gem, she found a small, black stone. It looked like an Onyx, but their were red spots all over it, angry, Corrupted ones.
Bubbling the Gem and sending it back to the Burning Room, she sat back down, gazing at the yellow sun once more. Corrupted Gems were almost as dangerous and Homeworld Gems, as all they wanted was destruction. It was important to keep them away from humans, as they would think it was something... worse. Humans had a tendency to make big, grand tales for such simple things.
As much as it was important to keep the Corrupted away from humans, Rose said it was also important to keep them away form Greg- for the time being. She said he wasn't ready to know.
Garnet had mixed feelings on Rose's new "boyfriend", as humans called them. Pearl was definitely jealous of their relationship, something that Rose sadly acknowledged. Amethyst didn't care either way, but seemed to be getting along with Greg's friends, especially Vidalia. But Garnet... well, she never really minded humans, and she was loyal to Rose. If she said Greg should stay, it's with reason. Garnet had for seen bits of what Greg would do in the long run. None of it was troubling. It was just so complicated, as there was so many possibilities that could unfold with Greg and Rose staying together. But, in whatever future that Garnet saw, there was always a hunt of life, death, sorrow, and happiness. Lots of happiness in the form of a curly haired boy with a star on his shirt.
