"What do you mean you think your in love with him Lee?" Lir asked her

"I mean August is a genuine person he cares for me and our daughter so much and he takes his responsibilities and full part in our life i'm falling for him"

"You slippin' " Lir said

I could tell she was unhappy that Lee was falling for August and I could tell Lee was unhappy Lir wasn't happy for her

"If that's how she feels Lir we got to support her whatever decisions she makes she's a grown woman all we could do to walk behind her steps even if she is making the wrong decision"

"Ye I feel you but I will not sit here and have you tell me you failing for a nigga who ain't falling for you"

I knew Lee took that to heart and I could tell she stumbled back a little

"Lira you're really not happy for me?" Lee said

"No Lee i'm not it's just not fair man. You can't be in love with him I just won't allow my ears to hear that"

Lee got up and dusted imaginary dust off her

While she started walking out the Tim Hortans entrance doors I could hear her sobs

"Really Lir? She's pregnant why you have to do her like that?" I said feeling bad for a pregnant Lee

Lir got up and left too

I knew Lir didn't like August like that she was just looking out for Lee

All Lir does is try to look out for us the best she can before it's too late

I didn't wanna feel like i'm picking sides but Lee really does not need to be stressed right now

I picked up my phone calling Lee to make sure she's alright

"Hello this is Aaleeyah Rodriguez line, thank you for calling unfortunately i'm not able to pick up the phone right now but you could gladly leave your name and number and a brief message"

*Beep*

Of course her answer machine

"Hey Lee just calling to make sure you're okay. I love you and I worry about you sometimes. I'm sorry you and Lir are not on the best of terms right now I guess. Don't jump to conclusions though because I know you might be thinking Lir likes August but simmer down he's all yours babygirl we care about you a lot and don't take it to heart what Lir said today all she wants is to see you smiling and I know she just doesn't get that you need to walk before you learn but you take your steps because even if you do fall we're still here to pick you up and you know that-"

I heard the beeping sound meaning my time was running up

"All I'm saying is you and Lira should talk it out okay? Call me back when you get a chance"

I hung up sighing

I gathered my things and got up tucking in my chair afterwards before leaving out the door
