Chapter 7: Forgiven

Lily's Pov:

I couldn't believe it Mason was finally here, and alone meaning i could talk to him. I went to go confront him but the teacher stopped me since he was across the room. "Young lady I don't think so, you must stay here. No movement or we could risk everyone in heres safety." Ms. Gomez told me. "Oh sorry i was just going to say hi to a friend in here, my bad." I said. "Yes it is your bad, now go back to where you were." Ms. Gomez said as she walked away. "What was that all about?" Isa asked me. "Oh i was going to say hi to my friend Mason, but i guess we're not allowed to move?" I said. "Yeah we aren't allowed to move so there is no movement to be seen in the building. Ooh but who's mister Mason, ooooh la la, you mean Mason the one who is hosting the party?" Isa asked. "Yes, its that Mason,but Its not like that i met him on the bus and i haven't really seen him since so i wanted to know whats wrong with him and just talk to him i guess." I say. "You should go to him when Ms. Gomez's back is turned, go for him." Nicole tells me. "I don't wanna risk getting in trouble though." i say."Well if you really wanna see him and talk to him then you should try to sweep by." Nicole said. "But she knows my face now and she knows where i am supposed to sit, I'm not gonna risk it i'll speak with him after we get out of her-" 

My sentence was interrupted by screams coming from outside the room. All talking went silent, as Ms. Gomez told us to stay quiet. "I don't wanna scare you guys ,but i believe the shooter is nearby, i don't know how its possible for the shooter to get in the school campus but nothing we can do now everyone must stay completely silent." she told us at a whisper volume. All the screams coming from outside the room were now gone. Isa and Nicole looked at me, mouthing words like, "Im scared" and "What the hell is happening" I just responded with, "Me too, and I have no clue." Ms. Gomez had a walkie talkie held onto the side of her pants. She started talking in it and receiving information back. It was too quiet to hear what they were saying though. She didn't say anything directly to us, she just made everyone stand up by using hand motions. She waved her hand towards a black corner of the room. As we were all in the corner, i was lucky enough to be way closer to Mason. I looked at Mason and he looked at me. He smiled and came towards me. We couldn't really talk at the moment so he just smiled and winked at me. 

After about an hour or so Ms. Gomez was able to explain the information she had received over the walkie talkie. "Okay guys so basically, i was not allowed to talk before but on my walkie talkie i was receiving information that the shooter had entered the school and was very close by us in specific thats the reason we had to move in this corner, i didn't want to make anyone frightened so i didn't say anything. I have just been told that the shooter has left and is hopefully going to be found by our swat force as they are out looking for the shooter since he got away but everything is safe and we are free to go. There is no school for you guys today and everyone is to be dismissed the normal way you would be dismissed and if you need to call your parents you can go to the front office and call on the phone in there, but everyone is now free to go, have a nice day." Ms. Gomez as she got out her key and unlocked the door letting everyone out. 

"Oh my god that was so scary!" Isa says to me and Nicole as we exit the room. "I know i thought we were gonna die." I say. "For real that had to be the scariest situation of my life, and i feel as though they handled it wrong." Nicole said. "Yeah, something was off about it but i mean no school, right! So lets think positive, Im gonna call my mom to pick me up though, you guys wanna join?" I ask. "Sure." Isa said. "Okay!" Nicole said. "Ok lets go to the office then and call." I say. They both nod and we walk to the front office to get to the phone. Luckily no one seemed to be in the front office so i was able to call my mom. I dialed my moms number in, heard it ring for a couple seconds then there was an immediate response. "Mom?" I say. "Lily? Why are you calling me you should be in class!" My mom said. "Oh, no mom there was a shooting, i'll explain everything later but can you pick me and my friends up." I say. "There was a what!!? A SHOOTING?! Im coming right now!!" The dial tone ended. "Well she's on her way now." I said as we all three walked outside to the front of the school waiting for my mom. We talked for about 10 minutes or so then we heard a honk signaling mom was here. "There's my mom, lets go, and before we get in there guys please don't bring up the dude thing and how my mom did that thing with the random guy. Don't talk about that please." I say. "Oh god no i won't talk about that." Nicole said. "Yeah me either I'm not gonna talk about it." Isa said. "Okay then lets go guys." 

We hop in the car and my mom greets Isa, Nicole, and I. I introduce them to my mom. Then i tell my mom the whole story with the shooting and everything about it. My mom was shocked and kinda mad but she soon got over it. "Ok do you two girls want me to drop you off at your houses or what?" My mom said to Isa and Nicole. "Yeah, thank you, my house is very close by to yours." Nicole said. "Yeah mine too, i think its in your neighborhood, thank you." Isa said. "Your very welcome girls so sorry you three had to be put through that today." My mom said. About 5 minutes went by and we had finally arrived at Nicole's house, we said our goodbyes and Nicole was off. About 3 or so minutes had passed and arrived at Isa's house as well, again we said goodbye and we watched her head inside her house. Now we were off to our own house. 

The whole ride home my mom and I didn't really have much to say to each other, but i kept thinking back to Nicole's advice she gave me, and i decided to not be mad at my mom anymore. "Look mom, i know it was rude of me to not want to see you happy but i do i just want to see you with a nice man, not a stranger, and I'm not gonna ignore you anymore." I say. "Ok i forgive you and I'm sorry as well it was not respectful of me to go sleeping with some random man in our house, I'm sorry for that." My mom said. "Okay mom, i forgive you." I say. "Okay now are you hungry before we get home because we don't have much at home do you want me to stop at a fast food place?" My mom asked me. "Yes, mom can i have taco bell?" I ask. "Yes you may." she said. Me and my mom then went home after eating and bonding, and i have to say that i am very happy me and her bonded the way we did, even if we were eating fast food.

Hey loves sorry if this chapter was kinda short and idk boring i guess but yeah I'm sorry, and also this weekend i am going to be traveling so i will not get to update this weekend most likely but i will still be updating this week, and for those asking i do not have an updating schedule yet.
