Chapter 3

Hazel pov:
It was my ex boyfriend he was delivering the pizza. I threw the money on the floor and grabbed the pizza as fast as I can. He stopped the door before it can close. "Hazel is that you"he asked. "Leave Jake" i said and tried to close the door. "I missed y-" "shut the fuck up you were only using me now leave" i said pushed the door closed. "Who was that" Samantha asked. "Oh it was an old friend" i said and sat down. I got a call from a random number. I answered it.
Random Hazel

Hello?
Hey Hazel are you coming to the game today
Yeah why who is this
This is Charles
Oh yeah for sure
I heard you got suspended cause of Joey's ex she tried to fight you didn't she
Yup but I beat the shit outta her
Haha but it's all over the school paper so everyone knows
Well the principal didn't say anything about me not being able to not go to the football games

I hung up. "Who was it" Samantha asked. "It was Charles he wants us to go to the football game" i said. "Oh shoot I have​ to go but see you there" she said while running out. I got dressed in something comfortable and I did simple make-up. It was almost time for the game so I started walking to the high school. I got there and instantly all the cheerleaders came up too me. "We need another girl for this routine so do you think you can replace a girl" Jordyn said. "Yeah sure what's the routine" I asked. They dragged me to the girls locker room and gave me the uniform. I put it on it was really tight. They taught me the routine really quick. I think I remembered what it was. Went out and got ready to perform. There were a lot of people watching us I started having a little anxiety. "You okay Hazel" Keliane asked sounding concerned. "Yeah I'm fine" i said and she left to go to her place. The game started I saw all the boys out on the football field. She wasn't joking I was really hanging out with all the football players and cheerleaders. We started dancing and it just came too me now seeing the rest of them do it. We sat down on the bleachers and we were winning. Joey had the ball everyone looked scared. "Oh no Joey has the bed. The boy knows how to run but he has really bad aim" Jordyn said. I was talking to Samantha when I here Kelianne yell "DUCK". I didn't know what she was talking about and before I can move the ball hit me right in my face. I blacked out.
Jordyn pov:
Kelianne yelled "DUCK". I ducked but Hazel looked confused and before I could tell her to duck the ball hit her in the face. She fell off the bleachers and onto the dirt. "Hazel" I yelled and we all ran down to her. Joey came over to her. "Is she okay" he asked. "Get out of here Joey your the one that threw the ball at her face" I said. He left and went to the boys locker rooms. They took her to the hospital.
Hazel pov:
I could barely see it was blurry. I heard people talking and I could see a group standing over me. They lifted me up and took me to the hospital. We got there and they took me to a room. I could here and see again but my head hurt. The doctor came in. "The ba hit you pretty hard but you will not be needing stitches you will just need a bandage and you have to stay here for 2 weeks so we can make sure your taking your medication regularly" she said. "Okay" i said annoyed and mad. It was late so I fell asleep.
The next day
Hazel pov:
I woke up with pain on my nose. I saw that I texts and missed calls. I opened my phone and it was all from Joey.
Joey
Are you okay
Im sorry
Are you mad at me
Hello?
I was mad he hit me in the face with the ball.
Joey pov:
So I spent this morning saying sorry. She's clearly mad at me. I called her last night and in the morning. I walked to school with Charles. We got to school and I heard arguing from the office. Charles went to see what was happening. Charles started arguing with the cheerleaders. I went to see what happened. All I hear is them arguing about how I hit Hazel in the face with the ball. "He should get kicked off the team he hit one of the cheerleaders with the ball he shouldn't even be on the field" Jordyn said. "How do you know its gonna happen again" Tayler said. "Guys I'll just quit the team its okay" I said with tears rolling down my face. I left and ran to my house.
Hazel pov:
They gave me my medication and checked my nose. I saw that Joey was calling me. I answered it.
Joey Hazel
H-hazel are you there
Yeah what do you want Joey
I'm sorry
Whatever Joey
Are you okay
No I fell off the bleachers
I'm so sorry Hazel
Your kinda the last person I want to talk to right now

I hung up then I saw that Jordyn texted me. She said that Joey got kicked off the football team. Oh no I feel so bad. Shit why am I such a bitch. I got up and went to get my doctor. "What are you doing out of your room" she asked. "I need to go back to school like now". "As long as you remember to take your medication every morning" she said. I nodded. I got changed into my clothes and got an uber to go to school. I got there and it was lunch. I saw Charles live on younow but Joey wasn't with him. Everyone starred at me. "Hey where's Joey" i asked Charles. "I don't know but when he's upset he usually goes to the abandoned skate park you know where that is right" he said. "Yeah thanks" i said and ran to the skate park. I saw Joey sitting there crying. "Hey Joey" i said sitting down next to him. "Hey" he said while turning to face me. "You okay" i asked "Yeah I'm fine" he said wiping away his tears. "No your not Joseph tell me what's wrong I know something other than football is bothering you just tell me" i said. He was gonna tell me when he just kissed me. We pulled back.
Joey pov:
I just kissed her I didn't know what to do so I kissed her. I pulled back and I saw Charles. Shit. He was just standing there. Im such a bad friend. "Charles wait" I said running after him. "I need to go"i said running after Charles. "Okay?" she said confused.
Hazel pov:
What just happened Im so confused.
Charles pov:
So I saw Joey and Hazel kissing. And Joey knew that I liked her. Well two can play at that game😏
