~~~Wawanakwa Island~~~
Why did I sign up for this again? Courtney asks herself as she walks down to the end of the Dock of Shame. Once on the edge, she sits down and dangles her dainty, tan legs over and half into the murky lake water. Courtney then rests her right hand under her chin as she gazes at the starry night sky of Camp Wawanakwa. Right... For the chance to win 100,000 dollars. Is it even worth it anymore? She takes in the scenery.  This island really is beautiful when you're not being tortured with challenges.  Courtney inhales the Wawanakwa air.  It smells like pine and campfire smoke.  One of her favorite scents.  This really would be a nice vacationing spot when not trapped with a bunch of annoying neanderthals. She heavily sighs. A million doubts are running through her head and she begins to get a bit of a headache. Courtney takes her left hand to rub her temples and her head is throbbing so much she imagines the sound of footsteps coming up from behind her! This damn island is making me lose my mind!
"This place can be quite the sight when we're not doing ludicrous challenges, can't it?" says a familiar deep voice directly behind Courtney. It's like he said exactly what she was thinking. His voice couldn't be more recognizable. And sure enough, she turns her head to look at the owner of the voice and sees none other than the delinquent himself. In case anyone was wondering, it's Duncan.
"I suppose so," she answers, turning her head back towards the water. There's more shuffling near her and then she feels the deck creak as Duncan sits down beside her.  Really close matter of fact considering their thighs are touching.  Courtney tenses up a little as she feels his heat radiate off of his body straight to hers.  It's surprisingly relaxing though and her tenseness goes away completely.  They're quiet for awhile.  They can hear each other's breathing.  It's actually kind of nice.
"Whatcha thinking about, Princess?" asks Duncan, leaning back on his hands. His shirt rides up a little revealing, unfortunately, only his happy trail up to his belly button. Courtney can't help but stare. She does so trying not to be obvious and praying that he doesn't see or notice her blushing, but out of the corner of her eye she can see him glancing at her with that classic smirk plastered on his face. She takes a nice, slow deep breath.
"Oh, ya know. Just the usual; why I'm on this crappy island." Courtney replies, almost in a joking manner.  Why I'm falling for an ogre like you...
     "This place does kinda suck," Duncan laughs.  He looks over at Courtney and hesitates a little before continuing.  "But, it sucks a little less when I'm stuck here with someone like you."  Courtney meets his eyes and sees a look she's never seen from him before.  His eyebrows turned up showing vulnerability.  His usual smirk gone and replaced with a genuine smile.  His gorgeous teal eyes showing actual emotion.
     "Someone like me?" questions Courtney, raising an eyebrow.  "What do you mean by that?"
     "Well, uh, you're really pretty, know how to handle things in situations, does whatever it takes to get what you want, and you're way too smart for me even in my wildest dreams..." Duncan stutters out, rubbing the back of his neck so badly, it's left a red mark. Does Duncan like me?!? This is so out of character for him! He's not the type to admit anything yet alone stutter! He's normally so smooth. It's like he's confessed his undying love for me or something. Courtney contemplates in her head. She's never been told these things before, sure she's had guys like her in the past, but never anything like this, this heartfelt. Is it possible that he likes me back? No, Courtney, you do not like this delinquent. Do I?
