I always preferred rain over the sun burning against my skin. Always preferred the sky to be dark than it to be bright and having to squint my eyes. Always preferred carpe noctem over carpe diem. Always preferred the color blue meaning knowledge, tranquility, security, and trust.
Which obviously walking today to my favorite spot, a small cliff in the park where you could see dogs chasing one another or a mother and her baby laughing in union, made my afternoon better.

My mother would also say that I would have my baba's dry sense of humor just like I also had his nose and eyes.
So while I was walking to my favorite spot, turning to the side and watched as a speeding car was driving towards me, I knew that me and my dad shared lots of things.
Maybe even the same death.
