Keepin' em coming! This one's from TurquoiseLily03 to Charr777. Turquoise would like to add "Happy Holidays! Sorry if the characters are OOC, I tried my best. I also hope this constitutes as a 'fluff' story, I am not used to writing them. "

-----

It was going to be a quiet holiday season in the Evan's family, or at least as quiet as you're going to get with two sixteen year old sisters. You see, there was one last minute change, or should I say invitation, made right before the break for winter had started. It was decided that each of the girls should invite their 'significant other' for the holidays. Lily had argued that she didn't have anyone at Hogwarts, but her mother disagreed. She said that a certain James Potter was often mentioned in her letters home, and that he was going to be the invitee that came for the holidays. Lily was not happy.

"Mother, are you completely sure that he's coming," Lily asked while putting her breakfast dish away in the sink. "Yes dear. James will be coming today along with Vernon. As much as you say you don't like him, I doubt you would like to spend the holidays alone,"she responded while picking up Petunia's dish from the empty seat which held Lily's sister sat in moments ago. "Mother, I have a test to study for and a room to clean, I really don't think I need his company. I already see him every day at school," Lily argued while drying her dish. "Well then you should start with your room dear. James and Vernon will be here in a couple hours and you can't talk with your guest in a dirty room," Mrs. Evans winked. Lily groaned and walked up the stairs to her room, admitting defeat to her mother, even though she would not do anything with James in her room.

The next two hours were a blur. Sure, it didn't take Lily two hours to clean her room, it took maybe an hour to reorganize the room and put some festive decorations. If she wanted to, she could have kept it the way it was before, but if her mother found her not working, then she would be in mess. The next hour went slower, as she spent it organizing the rest of the house and helping decorate the cake her mother had made. While her father was outside in the blistering cold making a path in the snow, Lily and Petunia, the latter not as much as the former, cleaned the house. For Lily, it had all been one big blur, so when the doorbell rang approximately two hours and sixteen minutes after breakfast, Lily's head shot up from her mantel work, excited for something new.

"Vernon, it is just wonderful to see you again," Lily's mother said while rushing over to the door held open by Lily's dad. The pudgy teen standing behind the door was sweating even in the cold weather, and Lily couldn't bear to look at his face. With the kindest of manners, she turned around and walked up the staircase to get her sister to come down. "Petunia, Vernon is here," Lily shouted to the entire upper floor. She heard a squeal from her sister's room, and was almost knocked over by the rushing form of her sister. Lily sighed. Not only was it bad that Vernon was here, he was loud and took up space, but her sister was completely dressed up to see his ugly face. 'This is ridiculous' Lily thought as she opened the door to her room. Just as she had opened her book to continue the story from last night, her mother called from downstairs, "Lily, James is here!" Lily loudly shut the book and jumped out of the bed to begin to argue, but his figure was already outside her bedroom doorway, "Hey Lils! Long time no see!"

"James! How did you-why are you-shouldn't you be," Lily exclaimed. She was surprised to see the tall man and his messed up hair standing outside her doorway, especially so soon after Vernon had come. James smiled, "Well, you did invite me over to your house. It would be weird if I wasn't hanging with my hostess." Lily still couldn't believe that her mother let James upstairs. It was his first time over, surely there should be some general rules or something! "Oh, Lils, let me see your room," James inquired, reaching his hand to Lily's shoulder and pushing her aside playfully. Lily shoved him off and closed the door in his face, there was finally some time for Lily to get her bearings. "Oh ya, Lils, I forgot to tell you, your mom wants to talk with you and the guests downstairs," James said from the other side of the doorway. Lily blinked once in surprise and opened the door. She pushed passed James and headed towards the living room, nervous as to how this 'meeting' will play out.

"Well, now that we are all here, I just wanted to set out a few rules before you kids start mingling," Lily's mother started to say, her cheeks rosy pink with happiness, "Lily and Petunia's father and I will be down here making dinner, so don't do anything you would do alone. All of the rooms are clean, and there is one bathroom on this floor down the corridor to the right, and one bathroom that connects between the girls' rooms. Dinner's at seven o'clock sharp, don't miss it! Have fun children!" The 'speech' was much shorter than it could have been, but mother was shooing us upstairs, so I went back to my room with James while Petunia went to her room with Vernon.

"Well Lils, I'm kinda bored, what do you suggest we do," James asked. I was also bored, and had no idea what to do. It had been five long minutes of tapping our feet thinking before James suggested, "Pranks! We should play pranks on your sister and her pig friend." "James, there is no way we can play pranks on my sister and Vernon. How would we do that anyway? It's not like this house is filled with things you can use," I countered. "But Lily, am I not the guest. You are supposed to agree with what I suggest, are you not?" James was right. He was the guest to this event, and frankly, it had been a while since I had made fun of Petunia. I grinned, "Fine then, but one catch. If we play pranks on my sister and Vernon, you won't prank me at Hogwarts." James laughed. He held out his hand, "Deal?" I shook his hand and said, "Deal," ready to have some fun!

James whispered his plan to me, and I nodded. The notorious pranker has lived up to his name, at least for now. We opened the bathroom door that led to the bathroom connected to Petunia's room. We stood behind the door connecting to Petunia's room and as quietly as possible opened the door a crack, so that James, who was standing behind me, and I could see the two figures in the other corner of the room. James' hand was on the door above my head while my hand was holding the doorknob. He stifled a laugh when we saw, and heard, Petunia and Vernon snogging in her chair. I simply rolled my eyes. I started to count off before we would open the door, but the door opened to early, and I started falling, still holding on to the doorknob. I was ready for the impact, but an arm was wrapped around my waist and brought me up away from the ground. I then felt a pair of lips on mine, and just as quickly as I felt then, they left and I was dropped to the ground looking up at a pair of bright hazel eyes.

As soon as I had realized what had happened, I could hear my sisters scream from the other side of the room. James winked at me and started to run into my room. "You said you wouldn't prank me," I said as lifted myself off the ground. James turned around and smirked, "I only said I wouldn't prank you at Hogwarts, you really should have seen this one coming." I started to yell back at him, but decided it was worthless, so I just closed the bathroom door and started to wonder what I was supposed to do for the next eight hours.

Epilogue:

"Well I think the party went wonderfully," my mother announced. It was late and I was so tired, not only from watching James for the majority of the day, but my family and I have been cleaning up dinner ever since the guests have left. "Vernon was kind as usual, but honestly I think James was a bunch of fun. He's a keeper Lily," my father winked at me. I groaned and under my breath said, "Nah, he's more of a chaser."
