"Siri! Siri!" a young, adorable 6-year-old girl called out. She was petite with porcelain skin, long silky brown locks that curled at her waist, a small nose and a shapely mouth. Most astonishing of all was her big, captivating golden eyes.
The young girl stopped her walk when she stood right in front of a boy a few inches taller than her, with black fabulous curls and grey stormy eyes.
"I don't want you to leave!" stated the 7-year-old boy boldly as he pulled the girl into a hug.
"Me neither, Sirius." whispered the girl quietly, her eyebrows pulling into a delicate frown as her eyes started glossing over.
Sirius released her and held the sad girl by her shoulders. "It's OK, Mirabella," he said, purposefully using her full name. "you will always be right here." he pointed to the right side of his chest meaningfully.
Mirabella laughed, and Sirius felt a grin take over his face. He loved making his fiancee laugh. Maybe they were only seven, but their parents had had them engaged for five years and anyone could tell they were utterly smitten with each other. "Your heart is on your left side, dummy!"
"Mirabella! We need to leave soon!" Mrs. Wylherst's voice called out from next door (yes, indeed the Blacks and the Wylhersts were neighbours).
A sad silence filled the air again as the two children stared at each other.
"What if, what if," the tears were starting to fill up faster in Mirabella's eyes, "what if our Fathers don't want us to get married anymore? What if we will never see each other again?"
"Mira, we will meet again with or without those adults. I can feel it." Sirius replied, his voice slightly wavering at the thought of being separated.
"Siri, do you promise that you will always accept me?" the girl asked quietly.
"Of course!" the boy exclaimed,
"What if I change, or you change? What if I become ugly a-a-and you don't like me anymore? What if I come back and you don't want to play spend time with me anymore?" pearls of water oozed from her eyes, dripping endlessly down onto her cheeks. Even when she was crying, the 3/4s veela was still beautiful.
"I will always love you, Mira, no matter what! Even if you look like Voldemort and act like a pig you are still my Mira. Remember, we are forever."
"Forever?"
"Forever."
And with that the two children were pulled apart, both now sobbing into their respective Mother's arms. Mirabella took one last fleeting glance at Sirius before the familiar feeling of apparition started to overtake her senses.
"Goodbye, Sirius," she whispered and not a moment later than that she dropped with her parents and all of their belongings into the new Wylherst Manor in France, her home for years to come.
