Revenge

It was around two in the morning, and Rose was in stuck her room, trying her best to get over the writer's block she had been experiencing for a few days now as she tried to think up ideas for her new novel. She was tired, but she couldn't really sleep, she was way to frustrated with her inability to come up with something creative.
Rose got distracted from her task when she heard a slight 'bzzt-' coming from behind her. Who was trying to text her at this ridiculous hour? She decided to go see who it was, since she wasn't going to get much done staring at her computer screen anyway. Rose got up and grabbed her phone off of the bed where she had left it to charge a while back.
Rose was pleasantly surprised to say the least when she saw who was trying to get a hold of her. It was Allen, who had asked her out only a few months before, on her 17th birthday. He was nice and funny, but she still had trouble talking to him without getting nervous. Afterall, she had only had a crush on him since they started class together nearly half a year ago, but just like everyone else she had ever had a crush on, she was too nervous to approach him, however unlike anyone else she had a crush on, he approached her.
They began to talk a few months after school had started, they found out that they both like similar things, videogames, watching anime, writing, Allen was truly another nerd, just like her, except he was much more handsome, and when he smiled it made her whole life full of misfortune and self hatred worth it, just to be in that moment, just to have made him smile so genuinely, to know that she had made him smile like that. It had made all of her suffering seem worth it.
Rose's phone buzzed again, reminding her that Allen was trying to text her. She quickly unlocked her phone and looked at what had been sent, only to feel her heart drop, no more like her heart had withered and rotted until there was nothing left of it.
The texts read:
Leaving u
Deal w it
Rose read the two texts over and over again, not believing what was staring her straight in the face, her heart unable to conceive what her brain was trying to tell it. Allen was surely joking right, but why would he send such mean texts. This was mean even for a joke, which it had to be right?
Rose started typing a response, carefully going over her words multiple times, making sure there was no mistake in them, then she finally sent:
That's not a very funny joke :(
Please don't say another joke like that
Rose saw the '...' sign at the bottom of the screen, meaning Allen was typing back his apology. Good, it was just a joke.
Just when Rose had finally calmed down from the prank, a new text from Allen popped up at the bottom of the screen closely followed by a second one.

Rose tried texting Allen back again, saying it still wasn't funny, but before she could send anything, Allen blocked her, making it so she couldn't text back.
Why would Allen do something like this? He had been the kindest person she knew. So why would he do this?
Rose sat down on her bed, then fell over, curling into a ball. Rose grabbed her pillow and hugged it as tight as she could, tears flooding the pillow as her soul was dying inside her. She loved Allen, why would he do this to her? Were all those feelings, all those thoughts a moment ago for nothing? What did that say about her if a nice guy like Allen didn't even want her? Was she really that terrible of a person to make even Allen hate her? WHY HER?

Allen went to school the next day and looked to where his girlfriend sat, but for some reason she didn't show up to class. He thought it was strange, but assumed she was just sick.
The moment after the class ended, he checked his phone, about to ask if she was sick or something when he came across something strange. Rose had been blocked from his phone. He knew he hadn't lent it to anyone, did he block her on accident?
Allen quickly unlocked his girlfriend and checked the last texts sent. He definitely didn't 'accidently' send those too, he could kind of understanding accidently blocking, but this?
Allen quickly sent back:
Hey, bby idk wut happened, but I think someone took my phone
No response.
U ok?
No response.
Right after school had ended, Allen took his bike and made the long ride to Rose's house. He had really started to get worried when she hadn't responded so during the school day he had resolved to go to her house and sort out what had happened.
After about 30 minutes, Allen made it to the apartment where Rose and her family lived, he went up to their apartment gave a sharp set of knocks on the door.
A voice came from within the apartment, "Coming," said Rose's father with a strange tone.
The door opened a crack and Allen saw a set of red teary eyes peer back out at him, now he was really starting to get worried.
"What happened? Is Rose okay?" he blurted out, already knowing the answer to his question, but not wanting to believe it.
Rose's father spoke up, his voice raspy from crying, "She's... dead. She killed herself last night."
Allen's eyes widened in surprise and fear, the thing he had been fearing the whole time had come true, even if he hadn't wanted to believe it. Rose was so strong, would she really have killed herself over that?
A tear traced down the side of his face, he had lost the love of his life over someone's stupid joke. He would find out who sent those texts, he would-
Allen's train of thought cut off as a laugh sounded from behind the door, a laugh he recognized very well, "Rose?"
The door to the apartment opened the rest of the way, revealing a giggling Rose, her parents also grinning.
"Wha-"
Allen was cut of as his love proudly stated, "And that, was revenge for making me cry!"
"B-but" Allen stammered, "That wasn't me!"
"I know," Rose replied, still smiling.
Allen felt himself smile in relief, "Alright, just don't do that again. It wasn't funny."
Rose smiled, and Allen smiled back.

Oh, did I mention the boy had bipolar disorder and the girl was diagnosed with psychopathy
