(Talia's P.O.V)
Wow. its been an amazing last few months. We've finally moved and settled into our new home in L.A , Demi has been heading to the studio often and working on some more music which so far sounds AMAZING and Marissa is like a sister to me. So much has changed and its like life wants the best for me now. Marissa moved in with us aswell, due to the fact i need a "baby sitter" while Demi is at work. Its 7pm and Demi just walked in from work and went straight up to her room. Thats how its been since she started working, i hardly see her as it is and shes only got more work to come...i cant say im not worried about her because she's my mom now and she seems more stressed and worried about every little thing.
M - "Talia, you okay?"
- "Huh what?"
M - "I asked if you were okay? you've been zoning out"
- "Oh, i..just. I'm worried about Demi...shes working too much and its like i never see her anymore."
Marissa moved over closer to me and pulled me into a side hug.
M - "I know, so am i. But its just what she's used to, and plus. She hasnt come out with a new album in a few years so she just wants something out there."
i nodded in understandment as we sat on the couch watching Mean Girls.....
A few days later, i hadnt seen Demi at all. Literally. She just walked in and sat down at the kitchen bench and put her head in her hands and sighed.
- "Are you okay mom?"
She looked up at me with bloodshot eyes.
D - "I um. yeah im fine but there's something i have to tell you."
I sighed i knew this was coming.
- "You want to send me to public school right?"
D - "Yeah, how'd you guess?" her voice was weak and tired likely from all the recording she's been doing.
- "I expected it. Marissa can't keep looking after me 24/7 while you're at work because she wants to find a job herself. All the tutors we've had have treated me like shit... it all added up"
Demi was to tired to reply so being the Briliant daughter i am. Made her a hot cup of chiken soup.
- "Here drink this, it should make your throat better"
D - "Thank You."
I sighed and sat down next to her on the bench and buried my head in my hands.
- "When do i start school?"
Looking up at Demi she stopped drinking her soup and answered me.
D - "In a few days, Marissa will take you stationary shopping tomorrow and you start the day after."
Shit that doesnt give me much time. I nodded and stood up and left to my bedroom where i sat down at my desk and continued song writing...I've been working on this song for a while now and i think i've nearly finished it. Its basically a song my birth mom would sing to me to sleep with but ive made a few changes to it...Demi knows nothing about it but im sure she'll find out sooner or later.
-First day of school-
M - "Talia wake up you've got school"
i groaned and rolled over refusing to get up.
M - "Dont make me get the water jug."
- "IM UP"
Marissa giggled and left me to get ready. Dressing up in a pair of grey skinny jeans, a Rolling Stones shirt and a pair of black converse i straightened my hair and did my make-up before heading downstairs.
M - "Someones all dressed up for school"
- "Well i'd like to make a good first impression" She nodded and continued eating her apple while reading the morning paper.
- "Where's mom?"
She looked up at me with sorrow filled eyes.
M - "She had to leave early for work and wont be home till late."
- "Oh" i looked down at my feet saddened. She never said goodbye or anything. Its starting to get to me. Like, does she even love me anymore?
M - "Chin up babe, she'll come around"
i mumbled in response and ate my cornflakes before burshing my teeth and grabbing my ready packed school bag.
M - "COME ON TALIA DONT WANNA BE LATE"
- "COMING"
Running down the stairs i caught up to Marissa who was locking the door and hopped into the car. It didnt take long to get to the school but as soon as Marissa dropped me off and drove away, my heart started beating faster and it felt like the air was getting thin... i pushed aside the feelings and walked up to the front steps leading into the hallways and looked in. Well. This is it....
*Authors Note*
Okay here's the first chapter of the Sequel!! give me idea's of what yall want to happen.
For the X Factor in this book it may be slightly confusing, i'll be having Paulina, kelly, Simon and Demi as judges and the same contestants including Fifth Harmony bc i really want them involved in this book.... you'll find out why later on ;)
Also Demi WILL be involved in a relationship later on in the book, i already have my thoughts on someone which would easily tie in with everything i have planned. BUT i want your help with something.
Should i bring back Ben from the last book and have him and Talia in a relationship, OR should i have someone completely different and if so WHO. so PLEASE comment and help a girl out.
