My feet feel cold, ice cold. I scan my clear blue eyes over everything surrounding me. Darkness surrounds me as I look at the forest with curiosity wondering how I ended up here. I snap my eyes to the ground when I feel the tingling feeling of frostbite hit the bottom of my bare feet.

Why? Why am I here? How did I get here? What is that smell? I think to myself as I fear the worst as the smell gets stronger. Hearing a twig break I freeze to a stop, looking around to any predators that could possibly attack me as I stand in the middle of the pathway.

Okay it's nothing. I repeat over and over in my head to calm my crazy imagination of a bear coming and eating me like a five star dinner. Yeah that's right I'm worth five stars.  I say in my head, popping my hip to the side as I stand there sassy. Of course I come up with a whitty sentence when there is no one around.

I feel the urge to gag and throw up as the smell gets stronger when the chilly wind blows and wraps around my pj covered body. Searching the area around me I land upon a huge horse dump the size of my head, not even three feet away from me.

Game plan. I need a game plan as to where the heck I am and how to get home before I freeze into a human popsicle. I look, trying to find the moon with all the trees in the way. South is where the moon sits. Meaning I have to walk North of the forest to get home.

Turning my self around I head down the man made path. Foot prints! I found my foot prints that lead me here. Oh how I love the snow when it comes to my detective skills. Five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes of waking till I look up to see the end of the trail coming a head.

What did I do last night to end up here? That was some kinky dream for me to walk myself to the middle of the forest. I slow my pace down as I hear a raw and painful howl send through my ears. The pain behind it so powerful and raw I drop to my knees feeling my body shake. What is happening to me?

I feel my body pulling inside me. The feeling unexplainable, almost like my sole being ripped out of my back pulling me to want to respond. I hunch over trying to understand somehow to get rid of this pain, the pain of my bones growing, skin stretching and turning in... into fur? What the fuck?

I scream, but it comes out more of a deep growl.  Fear runs through my body, through my veins as I fear that I'm at dying. I can't be, can I?  Maybe I'm turning into the popsicle and this is the first stage.

'SHIFT' is shouted through my mind as I try to understand what it means. Shift? Shift into what a fucking walrus?

FUCK I yell in my head, many word that should never be said in front of my grandma scream through my head as I watch in pain. Claws coming out of my fingers, ripping through the skin. My knuckles breaking as my hand turns into a furry paw, I travel my eyes up my arm as I see my elbow pop and shoulder crack. Waves of pain shatter through my changing body.

Gone. It's all gone. The pain. I stand up feeling unsteady as I try to balance myself out. I'm okay, just my crazy mind playing tricks on my. Haha real funny.

Focus I need to focus on finding my way home. I look forward scanning the snowy grounds my eyesight slightly off by the snout in my view. Snout? Why the? Eying my whole body of what I can see of a big black and brown wolf. I'm a wolf. I look like a dog.

'I just was to thank my mom and dad from giving me this gift, the gift of knowing what a day of a dog feels like. ' I say in my head, chuckling at myself.

'I'm not a dog!' A voice yells in my head.

'Who are you and how did you get inside my head?' I say to the unknown voice. God I must be going crazy to be talking to a voice in my own head that isn't my voice.

' Your wolf. I am the other part of you. The body you stand in right now.'

I'm losing it oh my gosh. I am on crack, someone shot crack into me. This is a hallucination. Never have I done drugs, this is what it must be like.

Overthinking is want I do best. Breath take deep breathes in, out. I repeat it. Okay calm think of calm soothing thoughts. My heart beat starts to slow down and I refocus myself and start to notice my surroundings again.

" Ocèanne, you shifted I see." Another voice comes into my mind as I make eye contact with a black wolf that stands at least a foot or two taller than me.

Calm was what I was two seconds ago. My heart and breath intake increasing as I try to calm it. Back firing as I start to see black blurry dots come into my vision and the cold dark snowy night spin around me. Falling to the ground as my eyes start to close.

"Why has she never been informed of this information!" I hear a voice scream.

Awakening me of my beauty sleep. I keep my eyes close, to lazy to open them and partly the reason of me wanting to eavesdrop on the people's around me conversions.

"I thought she wouldn't shift! My father was the last shifter in the family blood line. I swore Cee was a human as me and her father!" The voice of my mother yelled back.

" Well you're wrong because it can skip a generation sometimes and now look at what has happened!" The unknown male voice says, his voice holding so much authority to it.  " She is to be part of my pack just like your grandfather your the whole bloodline before you."

"What?" I say, making myself known now as I sit up.

Pretending to just be awakening, who was I kidding they both knew I was awake by their stone cold glares towards each other.

Clean beige walls inclose around me, blue curtains hanging to separate patients from one another. Yet the room looked empty as all the hospital beds were neatly clean and made. I must of been brought here when I faint from my hallucinations.

"Ocèanne you're awake." My mother says relieved as she grabs my hand, coming to stand beside my hospital bed.

"What is he talking about?" I say, studying the hunky man that saids before me.

Blonde hair cut short on the sides and fading up to a nicely styled push back. Looking as soft as cotton candy. His green eyes sparkling with calm welcoming look, suited with a gentle smile that gracefully falls nicely with his week old bread. Strongly muscular shoulders that compliment his to die for biceps. I study his toned chest just as images of possible lick-able abs that could lay under that blue t-shirt.

"Sweetie I can hear your thoughts and I don't think your Luna would approve." He says, chuckling lightly as I become as red a the nose of a clown.

"Luna?" I mumble, not fully understanding the term.

Then that's when all those fan fictions I've read about werewolves come into my mind and I understand it. Oh shit I just hit on a mates Alpha. Feeling my face drain of colour as I realize my mom lied to me when I asked if such things could exist as now I am one.
