Ch 1~ That day

{Syd's POV}
It was my the day of my mom and dads funeral, they died a week ago. I still remember answering the door to the police officer that had told me that my parents have passed in a terrible car accident.

I can't even think without crying. I wish I could relive the day before that just to change everything. So I finally got up and got ready I called my aunt to come get me so I could say my goodbyes.

*time skip to after the funeral*

I lay in bed thinking what I am going to do. I mean I'm only sixteen I can't pay bills. The officer suggested I live with a close friend or sibling but I am an only child so that's out of the question. I could call my internet best friend Maddie (Mads)  and talk to her about it. So I grab my phone and face time her. She finally answers.

*Face time conversation*
Me: Hey.
Mads: How you hanging in there pumpkin?
Me: I dont know I guess I'm doing alright I mean I'm pretty lonely here alone.
Mads: I know it. Just stay​ strong.
Me: I will. Maddie I have a question?
Mads: Ask away hun.
Me: So you know how you live alone. Do you think I could move in with you up there until I find somewhere?
Mads: Of coarse I would love to have a room mate.
Me: I am going to have to ask my aunt to buy me a plane ticket. ( I live in Florida she lives in Minnesota)
Mads: okay love see you soon.
Me: alright bye love you
Mads: love you too
*facetime ended*
