only miss the sun when it starts to snow....
"Look at that," she said, placing a hand on my chest as she peered out the window. she smiled excitedly, pulling the blanket up to her chest as she looked at me; her cheeks burning red.
I peered out the window, a smile on my lips as i watched small pieces of snow fall onto the ground. it was almost december and this was the first time it'd snowed in a while.
My phone started ringing and i immediately grabbed it, checking the name. it was her.
"Hello?" i answered, glancing at the petite body next to me. her eyes were on me, her right eyebrow raised. i placed a finger to my lips, indicating to her to keep quiet.
"You were right, i was wrong," she answered over the phone, her voice sounding strained an sad. she almost sounded like she was crying. "can I come over?"
I glanced at the girl by me again, her eyes on the snow falling by the window. i turned my attention back to the phone.
"Yeah, come in about an hour."
With that, i hung up. her eyes were on me again, hoping for an explanation. i grimaced, pushing myself out of the bed.
"You need to go," i muttered, pulling my boxers through my legs. i felt her move beside me, grabbing her things in a hurry.
When she was dressed, she pushed past me roughly; leaving without a goodbye.
I glanced back at the window, the snow was still falling.
"i miss the sun."
