Well you see her when you fall asleep
But never to touch and never to keep
'Cause you loved her too much
And you dived too deep - p"hey there," the voice i had learned over the year i've been with her greeted me. i turned to smile at her, sighing internally. "you okay?"
"you aren't real," i stated, knowing that for a fact. she wouldn't just greet me kindly, i knew her. this was a dream; the only way i'd see her.
"and?" she asked, tilting her head sideways. "it's your fault i'm not."
"how is it my fault?" i replied sadly, downing my drink. she shrugged, drumming her fingers on the table.
"you hurt me, player. and you lost your game."
"but i want you," i breathed, turning to place my hand on her cheek. she moved away quickly, smirking.
"ah, ah, ah," she giggled happily.
she faded away slowly, her laughter increasing into my ears. i shot up, breathing heavily. i turned my head, hoping to see her smiling happily to herself; watching the snow fall. but she wasn't there.
and once again, i was greeted by darkness.
