I am close to drowning
I can feel the water collapsing and surrounding
But I don't care, what is there to live for?
I am not even upset that I stormed out that door
The abuse, verbal and physical stops here
My death is near

I shouldn't be upset
To see a silhouette
But I am disappointed to see my rescuer
I should have planned this sooner
I have no doubt, hope nor fear
That my death is near

When I am forced out the water
I am horrified to see to see it's my father
My fate is absolutely clear
I wish it didn't have to end this way, but that fury in his eyes won't fade
I won't beg or plead or try to persuade

I am a 'sad pathetic excuse of a child' he said
But I pay him no attention, since I am already dead
I leave my body as I watch him hit, blow after blow
I know it's my time to go

I walk away from the scene
To visit that girl I met who is only a teen
I remember she told me I am a 'bright and beautiful girl who she wishes to become'
And I am here to watch over her, to make sure that never comes
She's a rose in a field of daisies so it's my duty she doesn't go visit Hades

I will make it my mission
I need no ones permission
This little girl will make it far, I will give her the chance I never had
To be loved by all, including her dad
My rose will bloom and make it far, after all I did give my life to make sure this came true
So I promise she will make it far, you have no clue
