April 17 was the big date.
Ethan was going to throw his girlfriend of 2 years a surprise birthday party and invite all of her friends and family.
The special lady you may wonder? It was no other than Lindsay.
But there was a small problem Ethan couldn't solve, he had no clue as to what to get her. He tried asking all her friends but kept running into a dead end.
There was one person hasn't asked yet and that person should know better than anyone else what Lindsay wanted as a gift.
Her best friend Jasmine
Picking up the phone,Ethan decided to give his girlfriends bestie a call.

"Damn Jasmine pick up" Ethan muttered into the phone while pasing around his room, after a long pause there was silence then another voice.
"Hello?" Jasmine finally answered. "Thank god! Jasmine I need your help with something for Lindsay,I would ask her myself but one that'd be to obvious and second I cant talk to her risking spoiling everything with my big mouth, I'm throwing her a surprise party and I've done everything except get a gift and I dont know what to-"
getting cut off by an overwhelmed Girl, she speaks. "Yo Ethan chill, as long as it comes from the heart Lindsay doesn't care what you get her it could be a pair of pink socks as long as its your love she doesn't mind" putting the frantic boy at ease he says "Really?, from the heart huh.. Alright Thanks a bunch Jasmine. for you helping me I'll put in a good word for you to Grayson".
After hearing Grayson Jasmine started becoming shy and defensive "H-hey! I never said I liked-" Ethan hung up the phone smiling I'm triumph he had an idea of what to get his special girl.
Walking down the streets to buy a gift, Ethan finally finds one and heads in.

Lindsay's P.o.v
"H-hey, c'mon can you please tell me where we're going Jasmine?" I say as I'm practically being dragged down the sidewalk by my eager best friend.
"Nopee~ can't tell ya, well at least not yet anyway... You gotta trust me your going to LOVE it" she says happily skipping down the street.
"Wonder where we're..." My thoughts were stopped once we reached our First destination, a mini Harry potter world store. "Oh no you didnt..." I say in disbelief.
"Oh hohoho yes I did, now stop drooling and buy some potter merch" She says with excitement. Walking into the store I started to gaze at all the trinkets and things I'm going to get and lose track of time and my friend.
"Aw crap, I just had to go looking in the back for a golden snitch" I mutter as I walk around in frustration, "first I lose my friend and she isnt answering her phone and second I dont know where the hell she was going to take me after apparently it was a girls day out and Then we were gonna-" stopping my train of thought to look up and see where I was, all I see was a small shop a big window and my boyfriend with some chick...
"No way, not my Ethan right?" Going to take a look closer I see that it was in fact the pair, to close for comfort in my opinion. Letting jealousy take control I storm off in a direction hopefully to take me on my path back home.
Arriving I was suddenly embraced by my long list friend. "Holy crap! Lindsay where were you? I couldn't find you in the store anywhere!" Says a worried Jasmine. "Dont worry I'm fine really" I say with a hint of sadness.
"I know that look, what's wrong?" She says, "what? Nothings wrong-" knowing I can't hide anything from her I burst into tears "I think Ethan is cheating on me..." There was a long silence then suddenly ...
Laughter.
"Haha oh wow- thats just!- oh my god! " I stare with a mix of confusion and anger in my eyes. "Girl that boy ain't cheating on you, he's in love with you he would never trust me" feeling skeptical I go to say "How are you so sure?" All she says is "Trust me I know" she then laughs it off and tells me to get dressed and be ready in 30.
"Let's see where the mystery destination is this time". Then I began to get ready.

Ethan's P.o.v
Putting all the gifts from everyone on the blue table, I go to tuck my gift into my pocket because I have to give this to Lindsay myself.
With a large banner that says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY!" hanging from the wall, party favors and her favorite foods. this will be a night she never forgets.
"So how ya gonna do it?" Grayson asks me. "plain and simply, tell her how I feel and give it to her" I say honestly, "Lame" he says with sarcasm. "I don't need your in put now go find Jasmine and make out or something." Smirking at my now embarrassed brother I hear people start whispering and telling everyone that the "Lady of the night is here" so I go to the side of the room and hide.

Lindsay's p.o.v
"Jasmine I dont like being blindfolded" I say uneasy knowing I can't see anything. " hush hush almost there and... stop, you can take it off now" she says semi loudly. Once I take it off , and im welcomed to all my friends and family screaming "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY!". "Oh my... You guys threw me a party?" I say with gratitude.
" actually we didn't... Ethan did" someone says, spinning around I see ethan emerging from the side of the room with a smile on his face but something was off about him. Ethan came up to me and gave me and big hug with kisses all over wishing me a happy birthday. Returning the favor I kissed him back and in a hushed voiced I asked if we could talk alone. Agreeing, I led him into a more secluded part of the party.
"So what's going on Ethan? First I see you with some other girl in a store then I dont hear from you at all?" I say with little to no patience. "I can explain that but please take this.." He says while handing me a long blue striped box. " I remember that your birth stone was a diamond and I wanted it to be special", "no way" I say slowly while opening to reveal a beautiful long diamond necklace and a note. The note reads
Dear Lindsay,
You know I'm not good at this type of stuff but I can't help to say that I fucking love you, you're the best thing to ever happen to me you've inspired me to do and be more. You make me happy and I'm just happy that you're in my life

Feeling a wash of joy and love come over me I leap into Ethan arms and cover his face in kisses, "I love you too Ethan!"
"Also I can explain that girl you saw, shes my cousin that happened to work there and gave me a discount for the sake of love haha I'd never cheat on you baby" Ethan says whiling staring into my eyes with sincere and genuine care.
Smiling with glee I say "Best. Birthday. Ever I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend". And completely forgetting about everyone else I spent the rest of the night with the man I fell in love with.
