"I believe it's rude to break into someone's office without permission-"

Samantha saw her father entered the room.

He is supposed to be out for 5 more minutes. She thought.

Anthony's gaze shifted from her to the broken glass behind her.

"-and you don't know how to use doors now, lady?"

"That young lad beside you doesn't want me in. So I improvised." Samantha tried defending herself.

Samantha Brennan is secretly helping his father in the child slavery case and she needed to get some detail... so she tried to make it as though she is paying Anthony a visit

She knew that Anthony has a meeting, she calculated everything but unfortunately, the body guard outside her father's office didn't let her in.

"My body guard knows how to follow instructions then." Anthony Brennan said proudly that made her roll eyes. "And you improvised, huh? By breaking that damn glass?"

"I had no other way, dad. This is the only option."

"I-"

"Unless, if you want me to poison your body guard to death so I can use that door, father?" Samantha added and she saw how the guard's face flinch.

"I am in a meeting, Sam. Of course this boy won't let you in because it is an order. Why are you even here in the first place, miss?"

"Visiting you, dad. Is that surprising?" She tried to sound nonchalantly.

Anthony knew better. His daughter won't pay him a visit without motive.

"Visiting you mean by finding something in my drawer? And holding a folder?"

Samantha began paling. Of course, how can she forgot? She's facing the Anthony Brennan.

The man is a lawyer in a well-known firm in the city. And he knows Samantha Brennan is up to something he wouldn't like.

He went to get the folder in his daughter's holding and when he read what's written outside it, he too turned pale. He dropped the folder on the table.

Anthony look at his daughter seriously and deadly.

"You ought to place your nose to where it belongs, Samantha."

"I am just trying to help you with this one, dad."

"I do not need any. Especially if it's from you, Sam." Anthony combed his hair using his hand out of frustration.

The folder contains every single detail about the child slavery case; organization using street children to sell different goods in the expressway, asking money around or worse stealing valuable things from people.

"Darn it, lady."

"You let me help you or give this one away, dad."

Anthony saw determination in his daughter's eye that gave him more frustration.

"This is a very dangerous case."

"That's exactly my point, dad."

Samantha is already thinking a way out. She can't just run in the door for the body guards to chase her.

"You go home, now. You aren't supposed to be here in the first place."

"Unfortunately I am here in front of you, father." Samantha said teasingly.

She checked her car keys in her pocket and reminded herself to where she parked her car.

"Okay, dad."

She said and pecked a kiss on Anthony's cheek.

The way in is also the way out.

She grabbed the folder in his father's table, run then jump into the broken glass.

"SAMANTHA!!!" She heard Anthony call her name.

Samantha's left ankle landed first. Fuck.

She run to her Audi and drove it away.
