A Fresh Start

RAVEN POV

"Raven, we can't take care of you anymore. You cause too much trouble and give our family a bad look and reputation", My father told me.

"So you're going to just throw me in the trash! What are you going to do me? And what about school? What the hell guys", I reply.

"WBH is the only school willing to accept you Raven, considering a number of times you've been kicked out of schools! We even had to move towns because of you! I am counting on you, we gave you a fresh start, take the opportunity... and about you... you will be staying with a dear friend of mine. Her name is Leslie, and she has a daughter named Ella. Hopefully, you will become friends," My mom told me.

I can't deal with my parents anymore. They act like I am just some stranger on the street. I am their daughter! Finally, they decide to send me off!

"To be honest I don't care, I'm ready to pack my bags and leave thanks, guys!"

ONE WEEK LATER

Okay. This is it. I'm going in.

I try looking as casual as I can, so they don't think I am some trouble maker. My black hair is tied up in a messy bun, my freckles spread across my cheeks and nose and I put black eyeshadow around my ocean-blue-eyes. I am wearing a tank top from Adidas and my black tights. I am wearing my favorite shoes from Nike.

I'm walking onto the doorstep of villa 374, as I step on the mat of the house which reads "welcome to our house". I rung the doorbell, patiently waiting for someone to open the door for me, then my anxiety kicked in. I tried breathing in and out as I was thinking What if they don't like me? What if they find out my secret, my families past, and my problems with The Boss? I heard footsteps, it grew louder and louder, my fingers started to tremble.

Maybe I should go back get an apartment and live alone-

Lost in my thoughts, the door opened, and a girl around my age, had light brown hair with some blonde highlights, and green eyes, looked at me with a confused expression.

"Hello, I'm Raven Blaze-"

"MOOOOOOOM I think one of your friends are here!!" the girl yelled.

I think I got the wrong house...

I turn around making my way away from the doorstep to turn back and find the right house.

"Raven! you made it! Welcome to our house! I am Leslie and this is my daughter Ella. Come in!" A lady wearing a tight gray dress with some high white boots and a professional bun welcomed me.

"Umm... mom... can we talk in private please!" Ella told Leslie.

"Oh, sure" Leslie replied.

They walk to a corner of her house, as I still wait at the doorstep. I couldn't really make out what they were saying, but they were definitely talking about me.

ELLAS POV

I was texting Aiden as I hear a doorbell. My mom was yelling at me to go open the door so that is what I did. I opened the door and saw this girl wearing all black with eyeshadow smeared all over her face.

"Hello, I'm Raven Blaze-"

"MOOOOOOOM I think one of your friends are here!!" I say.

I take my mom to a corner and ask her what the hell is going on.

"Mom, who is she."

"She is Raven. She is the daughter of my friend but they can't take care of her anymore."

"Mom, that is Raven Blaze... she is bad news..."

"Welcome her in, at least."

I made my way back to the door and welcomed her in. As she walked in the house, I watched her eyes dart to my brother, in a very mysterious way. There is something really wrong with this girl.

"So, do you know my brother?" I tried to keep my voice as chilled as possible.

She hesitated, "Um.. no, I don't"

"Okay!" I reply in denial.

I lead Raven up to my room that is now our room since we have to share rooms. I show her around my room and she seems very interested in my family photos.

"So, what is your last name? Nice room by the way" She asked me.

"Williams, actually, why?" I reply

"Just for facts"

"Okay..."

I leave my room so she can unpack her things and feel comfortable.

About 15 minutes after I left my room she comes downstairs and joins for lunch.

"We ordered pizza, if you are okay with that, Raven" My mom states.

"Awesome," Raven says.

After lunch, I and Raven go back upstairs to my room to talk about stuff. We ask each other questions so we can get to know each other. She seems like a nice person but I feel like there are many things that she is hiding from us. It is about 4:30 PM and Raven is listening to music as I am texting Aiden.

"I need to use the restroom," Raven tells me.

I reply "Just go out and take a left, it is there."

RAVENS POV

I told Ella I have to go to the bathroom, but I am actually going to her brother's room. I exit Ella's room and close her light beige wooden door so she won't suspect a thing. I look around trying to find Jake's room (yes I know him).

"Raven.. what the hell are you doing in my house," He tells me once I finally find his room.

"What the hell are you doing here" I reply.

"I live here dumbass,"

"Jake, don't piss me off, you know what I am capable of-"

He interrupts me, "If The Boss finds out we are together, things will go bad for the both of us. So I suggest you leave before any of us gets into trouble with him/her.

"Just for your information, I am considering leaving The Team"

"WHAT! YOU CANT! You are one of the top people, plus The Boss won't let you." He tells me clearly afraid of the consequences.

"Are you going to the meeting tonight..." I ask suspiciously.

" I wouldn't miss it." he tells me
