Daughter to Mother
Mother, I have to tell you,
I want to grow up, not go back to being a little kid.
Being a little kid is hard,
No one trusts you,
You're looked down upon,
You always have to be dependent on somebody.
Hard.
But as you get older,
We mature,
Starting to be trusted,
Starting to be dependent on ones self.
But having our ups and downs.
And learning from our mistakes.
So mother, please don't be saying you want to be little again.
Don't say everything an adult does is harder.
Because it's not the same now,
I want to grow up, not go back to being a little kid.
