"Hey" he said.
"Umm, hey, do I know you?" I asked the guy.
"No, me and my friends are new here, we just joined the pack." he said pointing to three other guys that I hadn't realised were behind him. "So, umm, can I help you with something?"
"Yes, actually. You have a really amazing singing voice."
"Oh, Thanks, music's kind of my thing."
"Ours too, see me, and my friends were wondering if you would like to be our lead singer of our band."
"oh, what did you say your names were again?"
"Oh, right, I'm Justin, the blonde with blue eyes is Blake, the brunette with green eyes is Charlie, and the one with black and blonde hair is Gale."
"Hey" they all said. "So what do you say?" Blake asked.
"To what?" I asked confused.
"Being our lead singer?"
"Oh, right. That sounds wicked, so why not."
"So is that a yes?" Charlie asked.
"What do you think Einstein?"
"No-yes? Yes."
"Yes"
"Yes!!!!!" They all yelled and hugged me.
"Oxygen! Need oxygen!"
Oh sorry, we're just really excited."
"It's fine, so what's the band name, and who plays what?"
"Well we used to be called the Brotherhood, I'm lead base guitar, Blake's lead guitar, Charlie's keyboard, Gale's drums and we all do backup vocals. What 'bout you..."
"Oh, I forgot, I'm Harley, I can do bass guitar, guitar, piano and flute."
"Cool name. Where'd you learn flute?" Gale speaks for the first time
"My dad before he died."
"Oh sorry." He says
"It's fine, he always told me when he dies I shouldn't be sad, I should be happy that he finally gets to live in piece." I say smiling.
"Wow, great dad." Charlie says.
"Yeah he's pretty awesome. Any ways, we'll need a new name."
"Why?" they all say.
"I'm a girl, Brotherhood ?"
"Aaahh." they all say.
Yeah, If you guys want you can come down to the basement tomorrow and brainstorm, cause right now my brain is caput."
"Yeah sure what time?"
"Any time after lunch"
"Okay, should we bring our stuff?"
Yeah that'd be awesome, we can jam!" I squeal getting all excited.
The guys laugh at me, and we start making conversation and getting to know each other.
For the rest of the night we talked and exchanged numbers and songs, and for the first time since dad died, I feel like I have Friends.
