Christmas has been rapidly closing. Decorations were all over the house. It seems to have become routine that Jet ignores me.

Basically, we see each other passing through the halls, but he's always with Sarin, making cutesy faces at each other. P.S. I heard that they were voted Homecoming and Winter Formal King and Queen. Sure not jealous at all...not. Then, when I see him in class, he's either talking to Sarin or her friends, ignoring me. And if I ever see him outside of class or school without Sarin, he just walks past me as if I'm invisible. Now I know how Jack Frost feels.

But, it's not so bad I guess. Ziven's all I need these days. I swear, if he wasn't gay, then I'd marry him. Ok, maybe I'm over-exaggerating a bit. Point is, I love that guy! Problem is, he's gay. I mean, there's nothing wrong with him being homosexual. I just sometimes wish that we could go out.

Oh man, am I gonna falls heads-over-heels for every single guy friend I have?

Speaking of guys, Blake didn't hold bruising his genitals against me. Instead, he's been constantly annoying me...maybe that's his way of revenge! Oh shoot, I better go apologize. Eh, but who cares. I'm currently on winter break, I won't see him till we get back to school. I'll tell him sorry when school comes back.

"Ket! I'm gonna go buy some groceries for Christmas dinner! Make sure you don't let your dad touch the gingerbread cookies!" my mom yelled.

"Kay!" I yelled, heading out to the living room. I knew the drill well enough by now. Every Christmas, I need to hide the cookies from dad. Sorta like Easter. Only instead of hiding eggs from kids, I'm hiding cookies from a huge former (not professional) wrestler who can ground me. Oh boy. I hid the covered cookies in a clean closet near the washing machine, knowing that dad's too scared to go near the washing machines.

I gave my mom a routine hug and kiss before she left.

"Alright! Where's the cookies?" my dad cheerfully said, walking into the house from the backyard.

"I haven't made them yet," my mom casually lied.

"Oh really?" my dad said, stepping closer to my mom.

"Really," my mom breathlessly said.

"Cause you know, I know when you're lying, Melissa," my dad said, getting uncomfortably close to my mom.

"Troy, you know how I feel when you say my full name," my mom said, flirting.

I made an extremely loud gag noise, pointing my finger to my open mouth, grabbing my parents' attention.

"Hello!" I said motioning to myself.

"Sorry," my mom said. She walked a little backwards, away from my dad.

"So, um...I'll back in a few minutes," my mom said, leaving.

My dad turned to me. "Ket," he deviously said. "I know you hid the cookies." I started walking backwards.

I just gave an innocent look. "What are you talking about?" I asked in a kid voice. I technically wasn't lying to him. He knows when I lie because I always blush when I lie.

"Oh, don't use that cute tone with me young lady!" he said, laughing a bit at the irony.

"What do you mean?" I said in the same voice.

"Fine then. If you wanna talk like a kid, then I'll treat you like a kid."

He wiggled his fingers and walked towards me. My eyes widened.

"Oh no."

"Oh yes."

He started to run towards me and screamed,"TICKLED MONSTER!!!" I ran around the room as fast as I could, till the doorbell rang. My dad couldn't hear it cause he kept screaming teasingly.
