      "J, where are you going?" The woman's voice called out behind him. He scowled and yanked open the door.

      "Away." Venom dripped from his voice as he replied. J couldn't even look at her. She was tailing behind him now, pulling her jacket around her shoulders.  The skin of her neck peeked out from under the dark leather, covered in dark red marks.

      "J, please. Just... Come back, let me explain." The girl pleaded, reaching for his wrist. J winced and closed his eyes, a sense of dread filling his insides. The one woman who he loved and trusted with everything had betrayed him. The one thing she promised never to do, she did.

      "No. I can't believe you. You did... that to me and now you expect me to stick around? Let you explain? Are you insane?"

      "No! Please, J. You have to-"

      "I don't have to do anything." He pulled open the door of the old Honda Accord and slid into the front seat. Hoping the door would be as loud as he remembered, he slammed it shut hard as he could. The door had been loud enough to make the offender jump. He slid the keys into the ignition and turned. After yelling a few... obscenities... to his, now, ex-girlfriend, he rolled out onto the highway and disappeared from her life.

~~~~~~
      C buzzed with excitement as her and her friends piled into the cream colored minivan. The radio was playing some alternative station, which could just barely be heard over the squealing girls.
      "Oh oh! Turn it up!" The girl in the backseat yelled, throwing herself forward to hit the driver's shoulder. He rolled his eyes and reached for the dial, increasing the volume to an ear raping level.
       C laid back in her seat, a chuckle passing her lips as she reached for the copy of Looking for Alaska that was sitting on the floor. She carefully opened it, pressing her forehead against the seat in front of her. She had been crammed into the backseat with two other girls, all of them equally hopped up on caffeine.
      The girl next to C leaned over and plucked the book from her hands, scanning the cover. "It looks so emo." She giggled, handing the book back to C with a small smile. The boy in the driver's seat rolled his eyes and pulled onto the highway. "That's because she is emo.." He stated, pushing on the gas.
      Neither of the drivers saw each other's cars as they neared, both too distracted by other things. Soon there was a crash and both of the cars were knocked off course, sending the small blue car against the guard rail and the minivan into a small ditch. The blue Accord knocked against the guardrail and swerved, the driver fighting to gain control of the car again. However, it was too late. The Accord was already headed to the same destination as the minivan, flipping on its way into the grassy ditch.
A/N: Hey there. This is my first story on Wattpad. I've been planning this for a while but am just now getting around to actually writing it. The reason for the letters instead of names is mainly because I couldn't think of names. The prologue is just serving as a short introduction into the story. I promise that the rest of the chapters will be longer. I hope you guys are up for joining me in J and C's adventure. ^-^
