I crouch down and open the small door to the washing machine and pull out all my belongings prior to placing them in the dryer right next to the washing machine. I check the machine one last time for confirmation before starting the dryer cycle, my eyes drawn to the article of clothing left behind. Curious, I pull it out and find myself holding up a large black coat that's twice my size.
This can't be mine, I think to myself.
I search the pockets for any sign of ownership and come across a note, the ink smeared and the words blurred. I contemplate for a short while before deciding and take the jacket with me back to my room. It's wool, it's better for it to be air dried.
