How to imagine Ashton is on the side ay >>

~*~

Just a boy born in Dixie

Washed in the blood

And raised on the banks

Of the Mississippi mud

He always had a thing

About fallin’ in love with a bad boy

All Luke wanted was adventure.

No matter how much of a fake facade he put up for his parents, he knew this.

He always wanted to fall in love with a boy who had tattoos and piercings just to feel the buzz.

Being the pastor’s son was actually quite hard.

You have very high expectations.

Yea, they could see it all comin’

But her daddy never dreamed

She’d grow up that fast

You know what I mean

The way a boy gets

When he turns 17

Kinda crazy

Everyone knew Luke would find a way to achieve this.

Even his dad expected this. But not this early.

But Luke met Ashton.

Ashton knew Luke was beautiful in all the right places. They were only dating for about three weeks when they did it.

It was crazy all of the things Luke wanted to do, being the pastor’s son. But Ashton never questioned it. He just did it.

Because he knew what Luke was trying to seek. And he was going to give it to him.

He’s a rebel child

And a preacher’s son

He was baptized in dirty water

His mama cried the first time

They caught him with me

They knew they couldn’t stop him

Luke’s mum would ground him, and Luke would find a way to see Ashton.

Luke’s dad would tell him no seeing Ashton and Luke would do it on purpose.

Ashton made jokes about it sometimes.

"Are you sure you weren’t baptized in dirty water?" Ashton would say as they would explore the woods.

Luke’s mum hated it, but always knew to find them there.

"Shuddup." Luke pouted.

"Just because I’m a ‘bad kid’ sometimes doesn’t mean that I don’t love God." Luke would always tell Ashton.

Luke and Ashton were making out in the woods at nine P.M at night, and Luke’s mum came looking for him.

Luke was straddling Ashton’s lap and moving his hips slowly.

Ashton’s hands were around his waist.

Luke’s mum let out a shrilly scream to which Luke jumped off of Ashton but by then she was bawling her eyes out.

"Let him do what he wants," Luke’s dad said one day.

"I guess that’s all we can do," Luke’s mum responded.

He holds tight to me and the Bible

On the back seat of my motorcycle

Left his daddy standin’ there

Preachin’ to the choir

You see…God love him

Oh me and God love him

Luke absolutely adored Ashton’s motorcycle.

He would lay his head on Ashton’s back as they rode down the deserted road.

One hand wrapped around Ashton’s waist, the other clutching his bible.

Ashton was sitting against a tree, Luke in between his legs one day.

"Let’s just run away," He said.

"Do you want to?" Ashton asked.

"I couldn’t choose anyone better to do it with,"

Luke gave Ashton a toothy grin and kissed him.

It was official.

He kissed his mama goodbye

Said I’ll be sure ‘n phone ya

He called from a truck stop

In Tucson Arizona

With amazing grace

We made California line

And then my gypsy life

Started takin’ it’s toll

And the fast lane got empty

And out of control

And just like an angel

He saved my soul from the devil

Luke told his mum they were going on a vacation.

It was anything but that.

"Don’t worry, I’ll call you." He flashed her a smile and kissed her cheek.

Ashton just gave a short nod as Luke got on the back of his motorcycle. You could notice that she wanted to object but she didn’t. It wouldn’t have made a difference anyway.

Ashton began getting unhealthy.

With no good amounts of sleep, water, and food in him.

He was thinking about giving up, to just stop.

But Luke -like an angel he is- brought God into his life.

He taught him that God helps you through everything. And Luke was absolutely right.

"I love you." Ashton mumbled right before he fell asleep in the hotel room.

"I love you more."

They lived this way until they were about twenty-two. But Luke wanted to settle down.

Adopt children.

Do things that couples do.

And the smile that grew onto Luke’s face when Ashton agreed was worth more then giving up the only life Ashton knew.

They saved up money, and finally could afford a two bedroom apartment.

Then they waited for about two years to get actually married.

Luke’s parents came and met Ashton properly for the first time.

They adopted kids when they were twenty-seven.

The adopted a baby boy and named him Andrew.

Their life was as good as it could be.

But to Ashton, Luke would always that rebel child, and preacher’s son.
