New Home

I sat at a small table, my legs whisping above the floor as I swung my legs. I could smell something very delicious coming from another room. I didn't really mind sitting there alone.

A door opened and Sam was there, holding a plate of food.
"Here you go, you must have been out there for days." He said looking at me. He sat down across from me, folded his hands and watched me eat.
"Tell me a little about yourself."
"Well, my name is Emelia Barns. I'm five years old and I'm alone." I said looking at my macaroni.
"Well Emelia, I'm Samuel Parker, but you can call me Sam." He said with an inviting smile.
"I work at a special place for young boys and girls, such as yourself."
"Are you and orphanage?" I said wide eyed."
"Aha, no. Sweetie, here, we teach you to be strong-like when you drink your milk." He said gesturing to the glass of milk beside me. I drank it and finished my meal. Sam led me out of the room and to my new home.

"This is where you'll be sleeping." Sam said looking down at me. My eyes grew wide as I looked into the light purple room. It had 2 beds and so many toys.
"Who sleeps here?" I asked Sam.
"This is where you sleep, and over there is where your partner Lyla sleeps. She's been here since she was 3. She's super excited to see you, but first, let's get you some new clothes and show you around.

The place I had newly found to call home was much bigger on the indie than the outside. There were different areas for people and many rooms for beds. There were rooms as big as gymnasiums and as little as a walk in closet. I was fitted to a black spandex uniform and my hair was pulled into 2 short buns on top of my head.

"You'll have different classes Emelia." Sam said. "You'll learn about math and reading, and you'll learn how to fight. You will be very smart and resourceful."

With that, Sam left and I set out to explore and learn how to be an assassin.

So? How am I doing so far? Yes, it's kind of short now, but as we continue, more will be produced! 😝
