"I'm so sick of this, you've broken me" I screamed with the tears streaming down my face. "Is this what you wanted?" I ran and slammed the door behind me, never looking back.
I could feel my bag heavy on my shoulders as I tried to remember what I had packed in such a hurry. I couldn't believe this was happening, I had given a year of my life to him and this is what I get in return. I walked for what seemed an hour in the dark until I approached a hotel near the motorway. I knew this was the only place I could go and quite frankly this was the only place I could afford.
I walked through the automatic doors into a cold empty lobby besides one woman sitting behind a desk which I presumed was the reception. "Do you have any rooms available?" I asked trying not to sound as angry and as upset as I was. I paid the receptionist and walked to the lift clutching the room key, not even trying to hold back the tears that were falling down my cheeks onto my jumper. Dropping my backpack onto the single bed I observed the plain design of the room. Cream walls, a wardrobe with no hangers inside, a full length mirror next to the door and a bathroom with fresh towels on a rack.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I was tall, five foot seven and my light brown hair fell past my shoulders but never seemed to grow any further. My eyes were blue but they were unrecognisable from all the tears I'd cried, instead they were red and puffy showing how little sleep I'd had. I crawled into the bed without a second thought and tried to close my eyes but my mind was alive with questions and my head was full of pain. I needed sleep, but every time I closed my eyes I saw him there..begging for one more chance.
