Chapter 15

It feels great to be a wolf. The change sucks but the run is amazing. All these years I've never understood what it meant to be free until this moment. I wish it would last forever.

I was tired of waiting for someone to find me.  Which got me even more lost in the woods but I didn't care. I'm dumb for thinking that but I couldn't care less. Everything looked so much better from a Wolf's point of view.

I continued to run when I heard shuffling in the bushes. It might just be pack wolves finally coming to locate me. As long as their around I should be okay to continue running.

I made it to a clearing where I decided to take a break. I've never ran as hard as I did just now. The shuffling began to slow down and then I finally saw who were following me.

They did not look like pack wolves. I was starting to get really scared. I still have a lot left to learn about wolves. If this is anything like the human world where everyone are not always nice. Then these wolves would be the bad ones. I tried to turn to leave but I was surrounded. F*ck my life.

Why did this have to happen to me? Maybe if I changed back and talk to them they would be more forth coming. I remember Dalia saying something of envisioning yourself as a human and you'll shift back.

It was not as easy as she made it sound. After a couple failed attempts I finally shifted.

"Hello. I'm Athena. Sorry if I'm trespassing, if you let me go it won't happen again."

One of the wolves stepped out and shifted. He looked so scary and he was as naked as the day he was born. I know this is not the right time. And I know I have the worlds most possessive mate but I couldn't help but look down there. I've never seen a man naked before.

I know bad timing and wrong male. My cheeks flushed beet red when I realized what I was doing. I quickly snapped my head upward to stare at the man who had a sly smirk on his face.

"Look who we have here. The moon wolf and the royal princess in one." The way he said that made my skin crawl. He, I'm guessing is the leader of these wolves.

"Please if you let me go I will have my parents compensate you guys very well. Both sets of my parents will pay whatever you ask for. Just let me go." The man laughed at my attempt to negotiate. It was a good offer. I'm pretty sure the royals will pay them well as well as my parents.

"Why would I do that when all we need is you?" Me? I have no money. Well that's a lie but I have no money that's my own.

"Why would you need me? I don't own much."

"The prophecy." I looked at him like that's supposed to mean something. These wolves had so much shit that I still had to learn about. There was probably a hundred prophecies. How the hell am I suppose to know what he was talking about?! He continued anyway. "The prophecy states that anyone mated to the moon wolf will have powers unimaginable." So that's what it said. I was getting a sickening feeling in my stomach which told me I wasn't going to like where he was going.

"But your not my mate." This was getting creepy and sure as hell don't like where it was going. Where is Dalia or Celeste or Nick? Why did this have to happen to me.

I wanted to run but had nowhere to escape. All exits were blocked. There was no way I could take down seven wolves and one man to escape.

"Please. You don't have to do this." I was doing my best to buy myself some time. I needed to get out of here. This man wanted me and it was disgusting. Even more sickening than listening to my bones crack and reset.

My combat skills are great but not that great. It would be impossible to take on all the wolves plus the man and win such a fight. Damn it I didn't even know how to mind link anyone yet. That would've saved my ass, I'm so screwed. I looked around again  to see if there was anywhere at all that I could escape. Every outlet was blocked.
