"Hello?" Tyler picks up his cell phone, answering a call from an unknown number.

"Hello, is this Tyler?"

"Jishwa! How's it going?" Tyler automatically recognizes the voice of his purple haired friend.

"Uh yeah, it's going good. I was just wondering if you, uh, wanted to come hang out with me today? I know this little music shop up the street. They have some records and a drum set," Josh suggests.

"That sounds fantastic, Joshy! Meet me in the middle of the street in two minutes."

"Wait, actually, I'm already outside your door."

Tyler hangs up the phone and races to his drawer to pull out a t-shirt. He rushes down the stairs and grabs his keys of of the hook before opening the door.

"I'm going out!" Tyler calls to his family.

The boy pulls his front door open, still in the middle of getting the shirt over his head.

Josh stands in front of the Joseph house wearing a simple red t-shirt and black, ripped skinny jeans. He wears his signature baseball cap backwards, revealing only a little bit of his deep purple hair.

"Hey! I brought juice box things!" Josh grins and hands the taller boy a Caprisun.

"Thanks, Joshy Boy," Tyler gives Josh a friendly slug on the arm as he closes the door and makes his way past the older boy to his car.

Josh just stands at Tyler's front door, staring at his new friend. He admires the way that Tyler walks, he seems so confident. It's hard to believe that this confident, attractive boy was the same person that Josh found sobbing on the forest floor just the other day.

Tyler opens his car door and pauses before getting in, "You coming, Joshy?"

Josh finally snaps out of his daze and jogs towards Tyler's car. He throws himself into the passenger seat.

The boy sitting in front of the wheel takes a pair of sunglasses out of the center console and starts the engine.

"You do realize that this place is within walking distance, right, Ty?" Josh asks, gazing at Tyler as he starts driving, one hand on the steering wheel and one holding his Caprisun.

"What? I can't give my fren a ride?" Tyler replies after taking a sip of juice.

Josh just shrugs and smiles.
