Trouble Moved In

The Meeting

RAVENS POV
That night...

I put my normal clothes on which was just plain sweats and a loose baggy night shirt. In my duffle bag, I put on a gray shirt, black leggings, and a black leather jacket. The dress code is black clothing, so when we go out for our mission we blend in the dark. We only go for our missions at night. It is the first of the month which means The Boss will give out our "missions" for the month.

It was about 3 am, thankfully, Ella was already asleep, so I had to sneak out through the window. I opened the transparent glass window and climbed off as quietly as I could. I noticed a tree about a few feet away. I clasped onto it with my leather gloves and ignored the fact that the wood was scratching me. Eventually, I reached the ground. The grass was wet because of the sprinklers, causing my shoes to be wet and soggy. Gross.
I hopped onto my bike, which was a black Aprilia RSV, and twisted the keys of my bike. I was about to leave when I heard the door close. My heart stopped for a second. To my sight, it was Jake.

"Fancy seeing you, Raven" I hear Jake from behind me.
"Hey Williams,"I slightly turn around and smirk at him.
He smirks back at me, slightly showing his gorgeous white teeth and a little dimple.
"Do you have a ride?" I ask.
"Yeah don't worry, see you at the meeting" he replies.

I finally arrive at the destination, desperately waiting for Jake to be here. I take my phone out of my pocket to check the time. 3:43 AM. Meetings usually start at around 3:45 AM. I finally see Jake entering the gate.

"Sorry I'm late, my car ran out of gas," he tells me.
"Hey, don't worry, let's just go in," I smile.

We walked in to see the rest of the members. No one knows who The Boss is. There are rumors that it is not even a human, but some sort of mystical creature or something, but no one believes that.

2 hours later..

I decide to go in Jakes car, and I just leave my bike at the parceling of the meeting place. I enter his car and sit on the soft, comfy seats. He put some music, and we ended up having a blast. His light brown hair was exactly like Ella's, except shorter and he had more of a football player haircut. He also had green eyes, but the shade was a bit darker. He was muscular, tall and just perfect. I couldn't stop looking at him.

We finally arrived home. I got out of the car and slowly closed the door.
"So, how long will you be staying here," he asks.
"I don't know," I reply.
He slowly grabs my hand. I look at him with a smile. I slowly let go.
"We can't do this .." I say in a shy voice.
"Do what ... ?" he asks confused
"Be in a relationship?" I say.
"Oh.. I'm sorry if you got the wrong idea. I was holding your hand because I was proud of you," he says quietly.
I felt like someone came and boxed my stomach because I had butterflies. I was so embarrassed. Why would I think he liked me just because he held my hand.
"Uh. Oh .. Sorry " I stutter.
He smiles and walks away.

I walk to the tree and grab on, and I start to climb. I slowly open the window.
Why is it not opening! Oh no! It's locked at 5:30 am! I climb back down the tree and follow Jake. I couldn't see him, so he is probably inside. I notice Jake has a window too. I climb onto the tree, the one in front of Ella's window and started to walk on the border of the house, holding on so tight to the rims. I eventually reach Jakes window. I knock on it, hoping he can hear me. I hear his laugh grow louder and louder as he opens the window for me.
"What are you doing?!" He laughs as he helps me in.
"For some reason, Ella's window was locked and I couldn't enter," I reply.

He looks at me with a huge smile. I smile back.

"Listen, you should go to bed, It is getting late," He tells me.

"Yeah, you're right. Good night," I reply.

I go in for a hug. He hugs me back. I felt so warm and comfortable. I never wanted to let go. At last, I let go.

"Good night, Williams" I giggle.

"Good Night, Raven," He giggles back.

I walk out of the room, and head for the bathroom to change back into my sweats and night tee. I let my hair down and remove my eye makeup. Once I was comfortable, I jumped into bed and slowly started to close my eyes when......
I felt someone shaking me, but I barely closed my eyes? It couldn't be morning already! I turn my body so I can see who's shaking me, and I see Ella standing on the edge of my bed trying to prevent me from falling asleep.
"Hey, Ella what's up?" I try to act as natural as I can.
"Where did you and Jake go?" She asks me.
"What do you mean?" I try to keep my tone the same so she doesn't catch me in my lie.

"I saw you open my window and leave the tree, genius idea by the way, never thought of that. I looked out the window and saw you and my brother talking, then leave together taking the same road. Raven don't lie to me."

I couldn't just tell her about the meeting, so I had to make up another lie.
"We went to check out the bikes, he said he wanted one for his Christmas"

She didn't seem convinced but I think she can believe me... for now.

"Whatever Raven, goodnight, by the way, tomorrow were going to pick up our school uniforms so you'll have to be ready around 12."  she told me. 

And like that, I fell right asleep...
