Great Oak University was one of the best universities. Well, that was because we were here. Even if we were not, it was no doubt still one of the greatest top 3 universities.
Your future could definitely be found here. The buildings here in the university looked old, it stayed true to the name.
The North side of the Great Oak campus was where you could find the School of The Arts building and dorm. It was pretty convenient although it was really huge. The Arts is where the visual and performing arts belong. The whole side itself probably already looked like an art school on its own.
It was a tad easy to spot which one were the visual art students and the performing art students. You don't think so? The ones hanging around the building are always the performing arts. Visual art students rarely go out on the daylight. Somehow, it reminds me of the nursing students.
Speaking of the nursing students, they come from the School of Humanities and Health Sciences, which was located on the South side. They are brains and all that. Whereas visual art students are really messy (sometimes, there are paint all over them...), these science students were too, excluding the paint. These kids going out and socializing was a rare sighting. Hats off to them though. They are trained to save lives, while mentally killing themselves.
On the East side, the School of Film and Media. There were not much of them around. I never thought of trying to find out why, but what I knew was that they were merged with the School of Business that were originally on their own before.
If you put two and two together, the lack of students in these schools may be the reason why they merged. These people were the least problematic ones in Great Oak and that is probably what the college needs.
On the West side, we have the very School of Design. Home of fashion designers, architectures, interior designers and I could go on forever about this, but I only have 24 hours per day. 12 hours to live actually, because the other half goes to lectures and shit.
Rumor has it that majority of design students are made out of 25% of water and 75% sass.
You didn't thought it was over, did you? Behind the School of Design, it was the School of Engineering & Technology. Bunch of greasy students. There are two types of people in this school. Very nice people and Satan's minions. There were no in-betweens. I am not saying I studied the school, but that is what I am exactly saying.
"She slept with Mr. Johannesburg?!" Neena shouted, pulling me out of my thoughts.
Danial accidentally tossed his pencil, hitting Eiko's forehead which caused her to mutter
something Japanese under her breath.
"Chikushō."
Willa accidentally choked on her latte and bit her lip, not trying to laugh.
I glared at Neena, scolding her, "What is the matter with you? Lower down your voice,
you nitwit."
"He's probably small." William snorted.
Layla smirked, shrugging, "It can't be if she wanted it that bad."
We all burst out laughing, holding our stomachs. Until we noticed that everyone was
laughing at us. We went back to eating silently.
"Hey, has anybody seen Freya?" Willa asked.
Blondie always disappearing. Probably coming with another news.
"I did." Our heads turned to Nina, who was looking straight behind me.
We all frowned and followed the direction she was looking at. Freya was running towards us. She was in a mess. Her hair was all over her face, bag unzipped, half wearing her shoes. She pushed a couple that was in her way, causing them to almost lose balance.
She slammed the table, trying to catch her breath, "H-hey."
We all stared at her in confusion, waiting for her to spit out whatever it was.
"Did you hear about the new kid?" She choked out.
"Yeah, but you're not new." William joked, waiting for us to laugh along.
Freya shot him a death glare and said, "Alex Reeves."
"The guy who beat up a teacher in high school and set his car on fire?" I asked.
Freya placed her back, taking a seat in between Eiko and Danial. Alex Reeves, that boy was wild. Beating up a teacher and setting his car on fire? What kind of beef did they have?
"Well, who or what did he burn now?" Willa asked.
Freya told us, "Next thing, we know, he might burn this campus."
We all furrowed our eyebrows and looked at each other, mumbling 'what is she talking about?'. When we realized no one understood what she was saying, we kept quiet and looked back at her. It was an awkward 5 seconds of silence until she burst out.
"He's a freshman here!"
"Oh." We murmured, nodding.
Wait. He's a student here?
"OH." We all looked at each other eyes wide, coming to realization that the fire kid is
here.
Chikushō. 1 - Oh, hell
