-Marcus-We're on the other side of town now. We stayed at a motel last night. I wonder what happened to Leo. Hopefully he was able to fight off that vampire. Yeah, I'm sure he was, I've seen him in action before.
I walk outside and find Derek and Jewel waiting for me. Derek has the book inside of a book bag, in case we're being watched. "We need a place to lay low," Jewel says. I nod in agreement. And I think I know the perfect place.

"You really think he'll let us stay here. Pfft. Get real, little bro."
We're standing outside X-corp. A business run by Jacob Salone, the richest man on Saratoga. And actually, one of my friends. I used to know him a few years back when I was 9 and was working on a case with Detective Knight. We had talked to him when I needed to hide from a serial killer who was tracking me down. He had let me stay then and had told me to come back anytime. Let's just hope now is a good time.
We walk in and up to the front desk. The secretary, a pretty blonde lady, smiles at us. "Hi, how may I help you?" She says.
Derek, being the oldest, steps up. "Uh, right miss. We were wanting to see Mr. Salone. Is he in?" He asks in his Australian accent.
She types something in on her computer. "Of course. Do you have an appointment?
Derek looks down at his feet. "Uh, well, actually, well no."
She looks at us. "Well his schedule's a little tight today, why don't you come back tomorrow. Have a good day."
I hurriedly step up. "Hold on, wait. Please, we really need to see him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind, just, please."
"Sorry," she says, frowning.
Suddenly an elevator bings and the big man himself steps out. "Marcus!!! How's it going, little dude!!!" He says.
"Hey, Mr. Salone. We need to talk to you in private."
He smiles. "Sure, come on up." He motions us into the elevator and hits the button for his suite. Jacob Salone. He actually wasn't but about 22, but already was a multimillionaire. Rich before 40.
He hums a little song as we ride up. Finally the doors open and he motions us out. Even though I've stayed in the suite before, it's still amazing. It's built like a fortress. An army of security guards, remastered laser security system, sentry guns posted everywhere, secret cameras, etcetera, etcetera.
He makes sure we're alone then motions for us all to sit down. "Alright, Marky. What is it you wanted to talk about."
I sit up. "Right, Mr. Salone-"
"Call me Jacob." He winks at Jewel.
I roll my eyes. "Okay, Jacob. We wanted to ask if we could stay here for a while. You see, we're being chased by some pretty bad people. So we-"
"Of course you can stay. I even know a safe place for the book."
All three of us look at each other in alarm. "What!?!? How'd you know about the-"
He chuckles. "Relax. I know lots of things. Besides, why else would you come to me for a place to stay. I watch the news. I know that the LOS is investigating a case involving the Alcatron. And I seen that your house was destroyed with a dead vampire in front of it. I put two and two together."
We look at each other when he mentions our house. Mom's gonna be mad. "Uh, when you seen the dead vampire," I say. "Did you happen to-"
"See your demon friend with the spiked up white hair. Nah, he got away. I suspect he killed the vampire and escaped. Look at this."
He types some stuff on his computer and suddenly a hologram pops up in front of us. It shows Leo in his demon form, which he used on those gang members, fighting a big red monster.
"Someone recorded this and posted it on YouTube."
We begin to walk through the battle and all around it, inspecting it from every angle.
"This is cool," I say. "Kinda like a 3D YouTube."
So now we know that Leo's okay. But the question is...
Where is he?
