Life
"Is that all Avery?" Pinky folded her arms across her chest and shifted her body to one leg.
Avery looked at Pinky and admired her looks. She had on leopard skin leggings with a black tank top along with red Prada heels. Her biracial skin color was light being that her mother was white and her father was black. Her green eyes stood out among the rest of her facial features. Her once long silky hair was now cut short just above her shoulders. By her having two kids less than two years apart, her weight had picked up to her breast and ass. Avery was going to miss her now that their divorce was finalized.
He looked into the black Chevy Camaro that was behind her and spotted her new friend, Life. Avery clenched his teeth and turned his attention back to Pinky. Despite her having another man's child while they were married, Pinky was almost sure that she wasn't in love with Avery anymore. She felt that he was being selfish and childish knowing that he also had another child by another woman while they were together but she still forgave him. When they found out that Pinky's daughter, Paris, wasn't biologically his, Avery filed for a divorce a day after leaving Pinky heart broken. It took her months before she could get over that loss. She didn't regret having her baby girl, but she did regret having a baby with Avery's enemy, Riley.
Life honked his horn signaling Pinky that he was getting impatient and was ready to go. Pinky looked back at him then turned back to Avery huffing, letting him know that she was ready to leave.
"Yeah that's all, for now." Avery smirked at her and hopped in his car.
Pinky watched him speed off while Life opened the passenger side door for her and took her home. The whole way back to her house, Pinky mind was on Avery, she hadn't seen him since their last court date for the divorce. She was now free of him and the only thing they now shared was a two year old son who was the spitting image of his father.
Pinky exhaled once Life had pulled into her driveway. Life looked over at her and put his hand on her thigh.
"You good ma?" Life asked her in his thick New York accent.
Pinky smiled. "Yeah, I'm cool pa."
"Iight call me whenever you can, if you can't tonight I'll hit you up tomorrow." Life got out of his car and opened the door for Pinky. It was his routine, he never let Pinky open up her own doors while he was around. Pinky got out and wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders. He kissed her cheek and watched her get into her house safely.
Pinky walked into her house and saw her best friend, Dana, sitting Indian style on her couch with her laptop on her lap. Dana looked up from the screen and looked at Pinky.
"I thought I wasn't expecting you until later?" Dana got up.
"Yeah well I decided not to go with Life today, I have an extreme headache." Pinky headed up the stairs. "Where are my kids?"
"Your mother came to pick them up, she said she missed them."
Pinky shook her head. "She just saw them less than twenty-four hours ago." Pinky turned her head when she heard someone coming out of her kitchen.
"What's good, Pinky?" Zion greeted her.
"Tired. What's up with you?" Pinky asked him taking off her heels on the mid stairway.
