Chapter 12: A Comforting Kiss

"Blake!" I hear a familiar voice saying softly. "Blake! Darling please wake up!" I finally recognize the voice. It was Kid. "Blake!" His voice says loudly. My eyes flutter open. I was in a hotel room. Kid was there with Jake, Liz, and Patty. "A-what?" I say softly. Kid exhales in relief. "Thank God." He says and hugs me. I hold in my smile knowing that Liz is watching. "What happened?" I asked. Liz replied, "You passed out at the hospital, so we brought you back to your room." Liz sighs. "Kid, can we go to our hotel room now? I'm tired." Kid nods and blinks me a goodbye. I feel like that's just a thing we do in a conversation like this. I smile and blink back. Kid, Patty, and Liz leave while Patty is literally screaming about how much she loves giraffes. Once the screaming fades away. Jake looks at me. "You were freaking out back there, what freaked you out in the hospital?" He asks. I look at him as if he is a stupid, "The blood, duh" I say. Jake looked at me in confusion. "What blood?" He asks. "The room was perfectly clean." I gave him a confused look. "Nothing?" I ask. Jake nods in confirmation. Ivy must have been haunting me. Ugh, yay. I sigh and lay in the bed. I'm so exhausted. Jake lays down next to me and smiles. I smile back at him. "Blake.." Jake says. "Would it be okay if I kiss you? Not like in a love way..but more like just to comfort you..I know you have been through rough times lately.." I think about this for a while. Technically, he's not doing it for love, so I guess it's ok. I look at him and nod. He leans in and kisses me. I don't kiss back though. I would hate myself if I did that. I'm with kid, and I love him. He pulls away and looks at me. I smile slightly at his blue eyes. "Goodnight Jake." I say softly. "Goodnight, B." He replies and we both drift off to sleep.
