Chapter Nine: Date or Fate?

I knew who that was from the voicemail, that was Liza. One day we went from being best friends, to being enemies. You could pretty much gather I wanted to either crawl into my bed and hide forever or I wanted to move to a rock and live there forever, or maybe even both. There was a sudden gush of wind which knocked me off of my feet. Ever since all of this stuff has happened, I've learned to keep my guard up. "Daphne! Rachel! Get in here!" "I am not going to harm you Tessa, I am here to guide you, to show you what you're meant to do, not only as a Anointed One, but as a Jameson witch." Behind me I saw this woman who was very angel-like, olive skin, blue eyes, blonde hair the works. "Who are you and what do you want?" My mind did scream "Demon!" but she didn't convince me until she guessed everything right. "So you are the Angel of Destiny?" "What do you want us to do?" Rachel had the courage to ask after my mind was still in awe that I was staring at an angel no less.

"I'm not the Angel of Destiny, I am the Anointed One's Angel of Destiny. We are one in millions, to mainly guide good witches on their right path to destiny. Each of you are granted three questions you are allowed to ask me. I have no choice but to answer with the truth." We formed a football huddle, once we went into my room. "What questions should we ask?" Daphne started our huddle off, "I think Tessa should ask if she's going to be with Kevin, because that's what she obviously wants to ask after all he's so hot." Did I punch Rachel in the arm? No that would have been too easy, stepping on her foot was perfect. "I think we should ask about Liza, our powers, and our future." Daphne's idea was better, after all I did wonder about my future with Kevin. We went back to the attic, "Okay my first question is this, do we have to battle with my former best friend Liza and her family?" That felt really good to ask, just the answer wasn't. "Sadly Tessa, yes the Matthews Family of Witch Hunters must be stopped."

There's that lighting I told you about earlier, I let Daphne and Rachel ask the Angel their questions while I thought of mine long and hard. "What can you tell me about my future? Where am I going to end up when I get older?" That question almost felt like a punch in the gut. "Tessa, you have a very bright future, especially when you're showing your daughters and son how to use your powers along with your mortal husband." I needed that good news, I can guarantee you that. I gave Rachel and Daphne the chance to ask their questions, when they were heading out, I asked my final question. "Wait, what about our powers? Do they expand?" The Angel of Destiny smiled at me before she vanished, "All three of your powers will grow to epic proportions, but your powers will expand in your bond as sisters." She enjoys her job, way to much, but she did make my year. I decided to say yes to a date with Kevin.

I kid you not when I texted him "yes ;)" within 10 minutes I hear his car enter my driveway. He was wearing this amazing tux, he just looked amazing especially the dress he picked out. "Kevin, this dress looks beautiful! where did you get this?" I couldn't take my eyes off of the dress, sort of like this but with sparkles everywhere. "I bought it with my paycheck, I saved up enough. Now hurry I can't wait to see how beautiful you look in it." Daphne and Rachel saved my life by helping me with my hair, makeup, jewelry, and shoes. Rachel had my hair in a high ponytail with a couple pieces of hair hanging down, Daphne gave me a beautiful smoky eye look along with pink lipstick, mascara, and foundation. Rachel gave me her black heels to wear, even though I hate wearing heels, I decided to wear my hoops and my necklace with a heart. "Tessa you look so beautiful! Kevin's mouth is going to hit the floor."

Those two did that weird twin when they said something at the exact same time, I really did feel beautiful I couldn't wait to show Kevin. These two wanted to present me, I allowed them of course. "Here ye Here ye! We are proud to present, the Ms. Tessa Jameson. Hair, makeup, shoes, and jewelry by both of us. Goodbye!" I knew they were watching still, they are crazy, but I do love them. "Wow, ummm do you want to head out now? wowwww." His reaction was worth the pain I was feeling from wearing those heels, "Yes let's head out." He even opened his car door for me, feeling the wind on my face when Kevin started driving made me know that this night was going to be perfect. "Wake up, we're here." I must have dozed off, "Sabrina's Star Palace" this place was very enchanting I almost couldn't believe it. "Are you ready?" He held out his hand, we were holding hands. Kevin never ceases to amaze me, we got a table instantly.

"What's wrong? You look distracted." He was right, this night was perfect, my dress was perfect, I felt beautiful, Kevin looked handsome, this restaurant was amazing, but I couldn't take my mind off about what happened. I decided to face my fears and just ask him. "Kevin, we've known each other for a long time, you were dating Liza and you looked happy. What changed?" Hearing myself actually say that out loud made me feel horrible, but also made me feel so much better for saying that. "I really did love Liza, but when I saw you I instantly felt very attracted to you. You are so kind, funny, very beautiful, and you've given me butterflies until I had the courage to break up with Liza, and hopefully I get to be your guy. Tessa, will you be my girlfriend?" My heart exploded into a million pieces, "Yes I will be your girlfriend!" I grabbed his face and we shared the same passionate kiss from before, with maybe a little bit more tongue, until I noticed who showed up, Liza's dad was here. "Oh my god."
