A/N
I know that I suck.
Let's just choose to ignore the fact that my last update was 19 days ago.
I've been so stuck with this fic. I don't want to scrap it, but I've been really uninspired lately.
I've gotten a few ideas recently though so hopefully my updates will go back to being closer to normal.
Thanks for reading.
----------"Tyler? Can you stock the shelves with the newest shipment of CDs?" I nodded and Greg smiled before walking away. I walked to the back of the store to grab the box.
"Hey," Dallon said as he walked by.
"Hi," I replied blandly. Ever since Josh had went to Brendon's house, I'd been brushing off both Brendon and Dallon. I didn't have anything against Dallon personally, but he was friends with Brendon which made him my enemy. I guess.
"How are you?"
"Okay," I said. "How about you."
"I'm pretty good." He just stood there. I lifted the box and turned back today face him.
"Well, these aren't gonna stock themselves. Excuse me." I walked past him without looking back. I heard him scoff.
Maybe I was being too harsh on him. I wasn't even mad at him. I shouldn't let my anger at Brendon make me rude to other people.
The radio played throughout the store at a volume just loud enough to hear. A song I'd never heard before came on. I listened as I stocked the shelves.
The station was from a nearby college and they played new music all the time. Working at the music store I was always the first to hear songs before they make it big. After it ended, I was excited to hear who it was by so I could look them up after my shift.
"That was a song called Demolition Lovers by local band My Chemical Romance." I furrowed my brows in disbelief.
That was Gerard and Frank's band. Gerard had just told me two weeks ago that he was forming a band with Frank, Ray, and Gee's brother, Mikey. I didn't even know that they had recorded anything yet. The song was really good.
Sadly, Frank wasn't working today. I couldn't congratulate him in person. I set down the box and pulled out my phone to text Gerard.
Ty: Yo! Your song was just played on the college radio
Gee: Are you serious ?
Ty: Yea! It's really good dude
Gee: Thanks man
That's insane that they played it.
Ty: When did you guys put it out?
Gee: Two days ago
Ty: Well, congrats man. We should celebrate!
Gee: I'm gonna have everyone over tonight I think. Does that work for you and Josh?
Ty: It should
Gee: Sweet. See ya thenI closed my phone and just stood there for a second.
They're gonna make it.
I went back to stocking the CDs and hummed along to the Blink 182 song that was playing. Josh had showed it to me the other day. It reminded me of him. I blushed lightly at the lyrics that Josh had sung to me.
Come on let me hold you,
touch you,
feel you
Always
Kiss you,
taste you all night
AlwaysI spent the rest of the day thinking about Gerard and his band. Maybe I could do that, too. Maybe I could release my music instead of just keeping it on my computer. Maybe I could perform for people other than Josh.
Maybe
