Dawn Of The Vampires

A Tragic Sacrifice

       -Andrew-

  I duck under the beasts heavy arm, and smash my blazing hand into his shoulder. He growls, and swipes me with his left hand. Hus claws rake across my body and cut through my costume on my chest. I fall to the ground like a smashed fly. He raises his right foot over my head, and I watch with horror as it comes crashing down.

       Thomas tackles him and they fall. I climb up and fly into the air, tossing blue fireballs at the rest of the pack. They growl and hold up their massive arms to shield themselves from the rest. I glance back at Sheila. She seems to be connecting some pipes together now. I wish she'd speed up the process a little. I'm getting hurt over here.

            -Derek-

   "That's it!!!!!!" I shout. "Toast!!!! Jewel, you're a genius!!!"

        "I am?" she says, confused.

  I nod and reach into my satchel pulling out some bombs. "Let's toast the bloody vamps!!!" I shout, taking out a sonic bomb. I toss it straight into the pack, and cover my ears. Jewel and Selena follow in pursuit. Leo just stares at us. "What the hell are you guys doing!!!! We're a little busy to be playing gam- Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!" He clutches his head and falls to his knees along with the vamps as the sonics echo around the place.

             -Thomas-

      I hold the monster down, and climb over him. I jump up and body slam him while he struggles to get up. He growls, and whacks me. It causes me to slide back a little. He jumps up growling. "It's gonna take a lot more than that to stop me," I chuckle. He smirks and lunges at me.

        -Leo-

   I clutch my ears screaming. "TURN. THAT. SHIT. OFF!!!!!!" I yell. My ring begins to glow, and my eyes catch fire. "Rarrrr!!!!!!" I yell as my face ignites.

        -Sheila-

  I look out at Thomas as he struggles to shield himself. The vampire is nothing but a giant red blur as he pounds Thomas back, again and again. Thomas groans and grunts and tries to stand his ground. I look back at the tubes. "Come on. Almost got it," Comes Derek in my ear. "Now. Connect Sample A to pipe Z. Yes, yes, yes, No. No that's the wrong one. Damn. Now you've gotta start all over again."

        -Selena-

     My head pounds put for blood and death. "Come on, hurry up," I mutter.

        I look as a lot of vampires go down. Finally the sonics stop and I hop up. I see some fire monster hop at the vampires. I look at where Leo was. So it's him. Guess he's learned a few new tricks.

        -Marcus-

  I look at Jacob as he sighs and holds his head in his hands. He's too preoccupied to watch me. I slip away, before he can stop me. I've gotta go help them.

       -Andrew-

  I hear Sheila growl and tear all the pipes apart. "What's going on?" I ask, dodging a giant claw.

       She looks at me. "I've gotta start over."

I face palm. "Are you bloody kidding me?"

     -Jewel-

   Selena hops at the vampires hissing as she leaps straight into the middle of the pack. Leo does the same. I smirk and super speed around the edges hitting a vampire as I go. I keep punching some as I run. "I call this one the hit and run!!" I shout at one as I prepare to hit him.

        But I end up running into something hard. I crash and fall on my ass. I wince and look up at a giant red vampire. "Oh boy."

       -Jacob-

   "Come on, Sheila. It's simple. Connect the blue tube to the yellow canister. Okay now turn the n- Wait. Where's Marcus? MARCUS!?!? Where are you?!?!?!!"

      -Thomas-

  I smash into the wall of a building. "Ugh!!" I cry as I bounce off and smash to my knees. The vamp walks over to me. He raises his fist. "Come on, bitch. That the best you got?" I ask. He snarls and his fist crushes into my metal face. My head cracks into the ground. I snarl at him. "Come on, punk. I know fleas who can hit harder than that. COME ON!!!!"

       He hits me again. "Argh!!" I growl. "That it?" I chuckle. He growls and his fists form a frenzy of pain on my head. "Aaaaaiiieeeeee!!!!!!!!!" I shout, as my head continues to go further and further into the ground. Soon my head is way lower than my body. "Wow, that was dramatic," I say, blacking out.

      -Derek-

  I start tossing bomb after bomb wiping out the oncoming waves of vamps. But there's too many. They begin to jump on me, and bury me deeper and deeper under. I look out and see Jewel and Selena and even Leo getting pounded into bloody pulps. A giant vampire begins to slam Jewel into the ground. Selena is being choked out. And Leo is becoming a volleyball for the vamps.

       We're going to lose, and probably die. Unless... "Guys!!!! I have an idea!!!!" I shout. It may be my last, but it's worth a shot. "Girls, get out of here," I shout. I manage to punch my way out of the pit. I stumble over to Selena. The vampires look at me and snarl. One leaps at me and tackles me. But it's enough for her to get free. She yanks one of her arms free, grabs a knife from her utility belt, and plunges it into another's neck. She kicks up and looks at me. "Get Jewel and GO!!!" I shout. She frowns but nods.

       After a minute I see her and Jewel getting away. "Hey Mr. Australian!!!" Leo shouts. "You better have a damn good reason for sending our team away." He manages to escape the grip of his captors and stumble over to me, his fire igniting the dark sky. I nod, sadly.

       "Get ready." I say reaching into my satchel, for what Derek had said was the bomb I should never use unless it was an emergency. If this isn't an emergency, I don't know what is.

      "WAIT, FOR WHAT!?!?" He shouts, but I've already tossed the giant bomb into the air. This one is different from the others. I can't detonate it. It has to be exposed to plenty of heat.

       "Detonate it!!!!!!!" I shout, knowing this is my last mission. I can practically hear the sad music in the background.

     "WHAT!?!?!?!?!?" Leo shouts.

   I scowl. "Roast the damn thing!!!!!!!"

    He takes a deep breath and blows a frenzy of flames from his mouth and onto the bomb. I fall to my knees. "Goodbye cruel world," I mutter. The vamps are still jumping on me and attacking Leo. But I don't care anymore. Let them bite me. I feel claws and fangs sweeping over my skin. "5-4" I count down. "3-2-"

         -Jewel-

   I see a huge explosion from the tree me and Selena are perched on far away from the fight. I hear shouts and screams and hisses from the vampires. I see some trying to escape the chaos. I see Leo back in human form. The smoke blocks a lot, but there's blood all over him. And burns. He stumbles around and falls onto his knees.

       "Well that hurt," he says, falling over limp.
