Autumn sat down on one of the leathery regal looking chairs. It was her seventeenth birthday and to celebrate, she and her mates, Amber and Lily were off to the planet earth to roam around and see what they had missed.
"Hey." Amber whispered. "How many IPhones have come out since we've been away?" The three girls laughed.
"I want to check on my family. Who knew I would miss the drab English rain?"
Autumn said. In paradise it was hot every day.
Amber and Lily nodded.
"I just want to stuff my face with McDonald's.." Lily said mooning.
"There's like, no decent food around here!"
They laughed again, until a stern looking angel looked there way.
Autumn looked around the waiting room. She hadn't met everyone so it was kind of lonely in her mansion. One mansion with three people in it is kind of spooky anyway.
Autumn didn't notice the stern man looking at her until he shoved her a bit.
"Hey! Your turn to go to earth."
Autumn rushed up to him and her friends, who were all ready there.
"We have to say bye now..." Lily and Amber said, looking sad. It suddenly hit her that they were from America, the other side of the world.
"You're the best friends I've ever had. I'll miss you both." We exchanged weak smiles until the guards broke us apart. The gruff one escorted me to a gaping hole filled with stars. She was above the one right under Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
Having seen the routine done a million times before, she prepared her Dark blue wings. Then, without a doubt, floated softly down. Heading closer to Earth, Autumn felt her bare feet catching on fire due to the speed she was travelling at.
Wincing, the girl grimaced, her eyes shut. When she opened them though, different houses appeared beneath her feet. Slowly, Autumn lowered herself down. She was on a red, crumbly flat. It didn't look exactly safe but she looked out of the windows, one by one anyway. It wasn't exactly hard though, because it was on the top floor.
Stepping through the window (Just about) she looked around. Everyone was crying. Studying their faces though, she gasped. A faint memory lingered in Autumn's brain. Could these be... Her parents? Why were they crying then? Giving herself a mental facepalm she remembered. Today was her birthday. But she was dead AND invisible. Walking up to her mother, Autumn drew in a deep breath, then whispered in her ear, "It's okay. I am with you, forever and always."
Mam stopped crying. Looking around, astonished, she too gasped.
"I think she's watching over us!"
A young boy, Autumn had never seen before giggled.
"Like a stalker!"
Her father and mother looked up, anger written all over there faces.
"GO TO YOUR ROOM." Her dad shouted. The young fourteen year old boy moped up, and walked to the hallway.
Autumn looked around. This isn't the house we used to have... She thought.
Being overwhelmed with it all, she flew out the window. Then, looking for shelter, rushed down to the very bottom floor, what looked.like a basement.
Crashing through the door she ran to the corner of the wall and slid down, hands over eyes. She didn't want to see them upset and unhappy. Was this all my fault?
