| Hey guys I'm so so sorry for not writing a lot! My writer's block was horrid (As well as my grades which still are) and I found out I have several different kinds of anxiety! (Mainly Social) So yeah, that's fun! *sarcasm* Anyyoyo, here's your next chapter, sorry it's short!|

Jackson couldn't believe his eyes. He held the fragile,  new born infant in his arms. She was beautiful. She looked like her mother. Her eyes were a vibrant lime green and she had a tuft of light brown hair on her head. He smiled softly at her. "Welcome to the world, my little song." He said softly. The baby girl cooed at him, then giggled a toothless smile.

A couple years later, Jackson was teaching Melody how to walk while her mother was making dinner. Melody's hair had grown to her shoulders and she had grown pearly whites. Her eyes shone a more vibrant green. She wobbled over to him and he caught her and spun her around.

"Yay!" She giggled. "Fastew Papa!"

"If I go any faster you'll scramble your brains!" He stopped then blew a raspberry on her belly, she squealed and giggled and laughed and chortled.

"Ah! Daddy no tickles!" She giggled.

"Daddy yes tickles!" He said with a laugh and tickled her.

"You two better not be roughhousing in there!" Melody's mother called.

Jackson chuckled and put Melody down. "Don't worry, Mary, we're being careful!"

Melody giggled. Mary sighed. "Alright. Dinner's ready!"

"Yay!"Melody hurried to the dining room.

When Melody was five, that's when things went downhill. Jackson had nightmares, terrible nightmares. But they were more than nightmares. They were visions. He was so frightened of them,  Mary attempted to fix them with magic.

It backfired.

The spell she had used backfired and cast on herself. She became paralyzed, and rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with Locked-in syndrome, where she was unable to move or speak, as all the muscles except her eyes were paralyzed. She was aware of her surroundings and awake, but unable to communicate that.

Jackson was upset. Their son had just been born, so he made their children his main priority. It became harder when he lost his job and they hard to survive off welfare. They had sold the majority of their furniture, keeping only the table and a couple chairs. Soon, they couldn't afford to keep Mary on life support.

Mary died shortly afterwards.

Jackson was distraught. Every night, he cried himself to sleep, telling himself it was his fault. If he hadn't been so freaked out, she wouldn't have tried to fix his nightmares. He was the reason she died, and he would never get over it. Because of his negative emotion, he became cursed. He wasn't himself. Every night, he would abandon his children and go to the bar, get heavily intoxicated, and go home. He drank five beers and two whiskeys at the least every day. He became violent and controlling. The real Jackson cowered in his mind, unable to defend his children, or tell them that it wasn't him. It tore him apart when he found out about his son's death, and how he nearly beat Melody to death. It was torture. Not only for him but for his children as well. He wanted to die, he wished it long and hard.

So his wish was granted.
