Percy POV
What is wrong with that Annabeth girl? I just kicked her ankle, is that so bad? As I walk to my next class i realized that I iforgot my notebook on my locker. I quickly glided towards locker #627 and inserted the combination. By the time I got to class, it had already started.
" Mr.Jackson why so late?" Said Mr.Smith looking at me.
"I ahm was in my locker. " i hesitated to say. I quickly sat on my seat. I hated this class, English. Not only is boring, but that Annabeth is in this class too. I glanced at the board to at least see what was going on. The board read "PARTNER PROJECT" with big letters.
"So as I was saying, this project is to help protect the earth. I will pair you up and you'll have to come up with an idea to prevent global warming. The best project is going to be present it to the principal, and taken to regionals, which will compete with other near by schools. If you're idea is the best then you will go to present it to the white house." Said Mr.Smith explaining the project. This looked interesting. I quickly shoot a glance towards Jason, my best friend, he nodded in return.
"Before you get too excited, let me tell you, i will be choosing your partners" said Mr.Smith. Great. No Jason as partner. Then Mr.Smith began writing the names on the board.

Annabeth's POV
This project was awesome! I had ideas flooding all over my mind. I would even get to know the president! I quickly asked Piper if she wanted to be my partner, which she said yes, but then got interrupted by Mr.Smith. Ugh, he will choose our partners. I looked at the board and saw that the partners where already up.
