For the new year of 2017, I have decided to write this. I've done one for E-girls, so why not GEM??
They're labeled under Avex, and officially debuted in 2013, with their single "We're GEM". They consist of eleven(previously ten) members, and each are associated with gemstones. The group is part of the Idol Street Project, and is the sister group of Super Girls and Cheeky Parade.
They began in 2012, with their starting line up. They didn't really have singles of their own to sing, and eventually members had to leave to decide the final ten.
Main vocalist, Takeda Maaya, announced a hiatus from the group, and has been on it since June of 2016. According to fans, Murakami Rana, has taken over the position, also taking Maaya's spot in performances.
Their most recent single is called "Sugar Baby" and--THIS CAT WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE!!! LIKE GOSH--I totally recommend it to watch. Here, I'll put it below.
