My smile could've reached the heavens when I stood in front of my own reflection, staring at the woman whom would soon be married to the man of his dreams. Levy was quite excited as she was appointed to be my bridesmaid, wearing a soft ruffled blue gown with white accents.
A flash of red came up behind us, carrying a bouquet in her hand. "Erza!" We both greeted the newcomer. She beamed at us and settled at a seat beside the bluenette.
"How have you been?" She nestled her hands in her hips before giving me a thumbs up. Levy remained silent, somehow fixing her face at the screen of her phone. Our face knotted in confusion. Her eyes had almost reflected the lights of her phone. "Uhm..."
"She's not you."
Tch. It was quite bothersome that a few male were persistent to have a conversation with me but I politely declined. My body throbbed with excitement when I came to conclude that I couldn't seem to count how many shots I took. I felt so warm and that was it. Reliving my own haunting memories doesn't help me so I had decided to join in the fun instead.
The walls reverberated from the blasts of music from the speakers. Something in me broke free as every bit of my perfectly unperfect world crumbled. It didn't matter if I was mugged, harassed or groped. None of it wouldn't matter as long as this excruciating pain in my chest was gone. I've never felt so alive yet so dead from the inside, deeply deteriorating from a thing that was called feelings.
What was wrong with me? Am I not good enough? Am I that unattractive? Stoic? My head bobbed against the beat, raising my hands in the air then swung my hips sideways. I might have looked like an idiot but none of it mattered. Everyone was having the time of their lives then so should I.
The spark that used to fill my eyes was no longer there. It was replaced with bitterness and spite. I just could get used to this. An image flashed before my eyes before I continued to spun. My memories of him had remained intact. I often wish he could've died but maybe I was just going too far.
I took another shot from the waitress who passed by. Hours felt like seconds as I drowned myself of my own misery. A hand groped my behind then it was suddenly taken away by someone.
"Make me forget.." The words rang in her mind. She could vivdly remembered how his eyes flared, his breathing ragged and his tone was much more commanding. His hands all over her body, her mind had made her almost reach the stars. She belonged to him. He owned her fully and yet.. and yet not her heart. And there she was, sobbing the arms of the man she cherished and respected, her best friend.
